  1. That and the ugly ass wine glass/painting one I stg if I see another dark feminine moodboard with them on it.
  2. The Lana with Marilyn one is good. I really love that one.
  3. There is no good audio for it, but the way she sang Ultraviolence live for the first time always gets me. It would mean the world to me to have a more uninterrupted version of this.
  4. https://found.ee/fallen20 I actually love that the 20th anniversary album cover is like a regular filter edit from instagram in 2012
  5. A banger. I hate the music video though. Literally nothing in it is good. The song should have stayed a mysterious electro girly track without a video.
  6. 20th anniversary of Fallen and Evanescence is doing it ALL. "To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Fallen, we’ll be releasing remastered versions of the album on 2-LP, 2-CD, digital, and in a Super Deluxe Edition box set. All physical formats will include previously-unseen photos from the era, a handwritten foreword, and a rare selection of B-sides and recordings. The limited edition box set includes a cassette of 10 previously unreleased demos and voice notes, a book featuring new track-by-track notes, a custom turntable slipmat, plus a set of rare photo prints and enamel pin set round out the collection. "
  7. Suppose there were such a thing as a supreme evil. Suppose there were such a thing as Reincarnation. Suppose there were such a thing as delayed gratification. Suppose there were such a thing as travelling through time. Suppose there were such a thing as karma's a BITCH. Where does that leave you?
  8. People might have thought it because of one interview when she was asked about "a song called Architecture" (before NFR was released, maybe even before LFL) and Lana quickly responded with ".... fuck!". Since she acknowledged it like that, I'm guessing that's where it stuck.
  9. Happiness Is A Butterfly lyrics have always been too corny for me, and i mean the whole song. There's almost nothing I like about the song except short parts of the instrumental when it builds up. It's one of the only two songs on NFR that I can't understand people liking. And I'm not saying this out of hate, btw, it's just confusion
  10. I at first had a problem with her vocals on DLMBM. They sounded lazy compared to the rest of Honeymoon, but it's such a sweet song. The instrumental is so cute. I appreciate it a lot.
  11. BTD- Queen of Disaster Paradise - Hollywood or Ave Maria (should have been incorporated into the Tropico film somehow. It's so similar to the tropico theme. Ultraviolence- Cult Leader or Earthquakes Honeymoon- Crazy For You or The Good Life cover Lust For Life- the original title track, any of them! NFR- Roses Bloom For You should have at least made it to the next album.
  12. I never heard of Empress Of till now. i'm starting with her earlier music and i am not at all disappointed. Kitty Kat is really hitting. I have this weird obsession with the indie trippy sound that was really popular in music during 2015 mostly, so I admit, seeing that this thread was created in 2015 is what got my attention. I also listened to a few new songs in top played, and it sounds like she's stayed pretty close to that sound so yay Gonna listen to more
  13. Looking back at this I'm also shocked that she hasn't sung Fuck it I Love You. WHY Imagine if we could choose a whole setlist from these songs. I'd choose Sad Girl, FIILY, Dealer, Black Bathing Suit, Religion, 24, I Can Fly, Dark but just a game, Living Legend, Summer Bummer. And I fully recognise the fans who aren't stans would be so bored.

The album is so good and overall I like more than her previous work! xwc, cyber meat, 4ui12 and dazies are the standouts so far.
  15. The Love Witch (2016)- hits hard about how women change themselves to appeal to men, even when it gives us a power trip. Ginger Snaps (2000)- an ahead-of-its-time horror film with main characters that aren't treated exactly like how other horror films treat girls. The music and grungy style as well is everything. I was 14 when I found it and it was the perfect time for me. Annihilation (2018)- because then I read the books. It does something crazy with the climate crisis feel, but nature is destroying us instead, which is both beautiful and horrifying. This series changed me because i always come back to it as my comfort cosmic horror zone. Lucy (2014) even tho I watched it again recently and see how anti-asian it is tbh. The movie had vibes tho and calmed down my sense of self in the universe when I was really depressed.
  16. Definitely Lana was the first. In 2012 Summertime Sadness, BTD and Carmen actually changed my life because of her imagery (previously all singers that i were drawn to were goth and rock queens like Amy Lee) to how deep she sang (i always wanted to sing those belting high notes vut am NOT a soprano, and had never heard a strong alto voice besides Shirley Manson), to the themes of death and destruction (always my preferred themes in music lol, but had never heard it in pop music before). Only those few songs could show me everything and I was just taken. No other discovery since then has really changed me except maybe Grimes and Nostalghia the following year. Nostalghia continues to change me with all her releases.

I've just started watching Death Note and now Shinigami Eyes is making sense and seems a little better than I previously thought

I'm kinda obsessed with miss belladonna
  19. Seven years So we're excluding her covers from 2015ish and earlier? No Summertime, The Good Life or Heart Shaped Box then But at least none of her covers have ever been anything less than masterpieces
  20. I'm not sure Lana knows how much of a legend she is for writing Angels Forever Forever Angels and Madly. They're such classic rock songs that are timeless and I really think they would hit gen x-z in a certain way. At least she got Ride out there, but AFFA and Madly are the same energy (and maybe easier to listen with your family )
  21. She's had plenty of beautiful stage looks this year but this one is SO classic Lana, while also not completely-done-before Her hair is back to all its glory
  22. This is definitely it. Her image also stood out and people wanted to tear it apart. Yeah I think thats true too. Olivia is slightly different to the early 2000s Disney stars in the way that she gets more vulnerable with her songs, spilling about her relationships etc. People would have hated that even in the 2010s, like all the shit Taylor swift got.
  23. I love them! Saw them live at a festival once and they were so fun to watch. I also love their collab King Slayer with BMTH. They're one of those bands I know I need to get into more.
