Thank you for the response! I totally see Zodiac as being that so I really hope she has gone somewhat in that direction. Interesting that she says it's open aired and free too. Like chemtrails but make it darker? That would be nice too.

I've been wanting to ask this the whole time but what is Southern Gothic? How is that going to sound on an album? Because I look it up and all I see is this: "It generally comments or highlights the inherent tensions caused by the American Civil War, including class struggles and racial issues." I'm not American, how'm I supposed to know what Southern Gothic really is for music or anything Maybe I should post this in Lasso Pre-release but I can never keep up with that thread.

That prompted me to watch this entire interview She is such a gorgeous human being. I can't imagine being able to talk about my traumas with such calmness and grace. I also see Killer in a new light now, including the released version of the bridge. I always liked the demo bridge better but now I see the released one is just so sad and vulnerable.

In Afraid of the Dark she sings like she's a scared sad child and I mean that in the best way possible. It actually scares me to feel that song.

Awesome song. I love the throwback moments to Easier Than Lying.

Society of Snow True story about the survivors of the Andean Plane Crash in the 70s. I had never heard much about the story, so this film was just.... I can't describe it. Im still constantly thinking about it and the other details I found out in interviews.

Yes! Such a good spoken part, and I usually don't like that style Darwinism is so Radiohead to me!

Many good moments on this album. Im constantly going to go back for Lonely Is The Muse, Arsonist, Darwinism and Dog Years. Some of the rest has some annoying laughing and children recordings. I really do not like this Edit: I want to clarify that I'm not one of those people thinking all her impersonator posts were bad. I actually love ALL of them except for this one because I think she looked nothing like Amy and im super biased with people recreating this look (i didnt like Alexis Munroe/PrincessBri doing it either lol) but the others were really cool! Anyways since I just heard she got some hate from doing all these posts, I felt bad.

I've probably posted this here already but I keep losing it everytime I need to add this to my Ultraviolence timeline. It's Neil Krug talking about his shoots for Ultraviolence and I think he is specifically talking about this image? “I was imagining a sort of black-and-white, 16mm-looking nightmare. Almost in the vein of The Honeymoon Killers from 1970, or the original sixties Night of the Living Dead but with a beautiful, brooding heroine as the hero. What if Lana replaced Catherine Deneuve in Repulsion... what would that look like? For me, the whole project was made in that spirit, and I shot tons of black-and-white imagery to suggest that kind of iconography. I kept all my colour imagery for the more fairy tale-like themes. Dorothy/Wizard of Oz vibes, but with Dorothy smoking a cigarette in a bed of hydrangea.”

Y'all can hate me but this is an amazing song and the new singers voice is very good. Yes, I know all the controversy but I mean, at least the band hasn't lost their style.

I really wish Always Ready To Lose You was a 2015-2016 release that all the youtube girlies would have playing over their summer vlog videos. That was really its only chance to shine.

This album is literally gonna be her saddest and most emotional imo. Or maybe all the sad songs have come out, but like you can really tell so much has lead to her writing this one.

Many of these are my favourites, but some aren't anymore, yet I still acknowledge that they are 10/10 Lana - Honeymoon Lana - Ultraviolence Lana - Born to Die (standard album) The Birthday Massacre - Pins and Needles Evanescence - The Open Door Linkin Park - Living Things Melanie Martinez - Crybaby (might not be one I listen to anymore but I can't deny it's perfection) Trees of Eternity - Hour of the Nightingale The Neighbourhood (self titled, before it was changed to Hard to Imagine) Halsey - if I can't have love I want power Twenty One Pilots - Blurryface Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing

I still have my pink pony Webkinz plushie but my siblings recently donated theirs (black bear and googles). My favourite thing on the website was the gem mining and all the things in the employment office. I sometimes catch myself saying "Pleaaasure doing business with you" like the guy would say when you sold your gems to him. We only had webkinz because our Canadian cousins sent them to us in Australia. They were never a big thing in Australia and I genuinely never met anyone else here who had one!

Ego is alright but it's just 3am part 2 and 3am is a better song. Cool music video but it's really just at the lower end of her best rock songs.

"two-timing" oh wow I haven't heard someone use that term since probably 2009

Black Beauty (Jamie xx Take 1) has become my most-listened-to version

Unless my search has failed me, I don't think there's an existing thread for Flower Face: I've been listening to her music since 2019 when a fellow Lanaboards member (who's username I can't keep track of) recommended it. I can't claim to know all her songs but there's a select few that I am overly obsessed with and they are the ones that fill my head with the most imagery of blooming nature vs concrete jungles, ocean depths vs space stations, and dreams of storm waves and sinking under the surface. (I've actually never watched this video)

Cinnamon Girl is so serene. If im being honest, I listen to the song only for the instrumental outro. Chemtrails Over the Country Club drums outro Religion outro even though it's short The Summertime Sadness outro is also really cool. Glad they came up with that. Oh yeah some have also said IYLDWM which I forgot about but OMG. That one is clearly the best.

When Experiment On Me was released and halsey was talking about how she'd have to do vocals like that again sometime, I was so keen but honestly didn't know if that was going to happen or not since it sounded just like an exciting thing to do out of her comfort zone just once. I'm SO glad she really did it again. Her voice was made for rock. Even when she makes a really good pop song, her voice sounds much better to me, much more timeless, emotional and more of a statement when she does a rock song.
