    LMAO

But to be fair, I thought she was joking about that and that her point was she doesn't care about what people think of her dating a cop, and that if she did care about the photos, it wouldn't be for that reason.

But fuck it I never know what she means

In one of her interviews she said she's going to do a video of herself ice skating to Young and Beautiful "within the next 7 months".

This is definitely a lie so I'm just putting it in here now.

So the 4 chord progression that Jack gave her that she keeps talking about .. is that the chorus of NFR?

instead she wants to perform new, current, hot-off-the-press songs like born to die, blue jeans, and summertime sadness

Bizarre. I'm in Australia and it works fine for me.

Maybe someone can record it and post?

I think nighmare really was the best and boldest shes ever done, and i should have listened to it more but idk, its just not the vibe i needed this year

same the first week i fucking CONSUMED the album and even watched the movie a second time. Then it just trailed off and I only sometimes listen to show & tell or teachers pet now

The album isn't as bad as some of y'all make it out to be, but it is a disappointment. I liked it a LOOOOT the first week then I kind of got tired with a lot of the songs. I'd rather listen to Cry Baby outtakes honestly...

It's definitly a great autumn album. I  love how it feels like it's a new approach to music for her while still being classic-CW-music. It's a bit more "epic folk" compared to the introverted, slowed down sound of Unknown Rooms. Some of the songs remind me of Marissa Nadler alot. Her vocal qualities really show on this album!

Can't pin my favourite tracks down yet.
Deranged For Rock & Roll is definitly a strong song, probably the catchiest one she ever released.
American Darkness has this wonderful noire-ish vibe and I loved it as soon as it came out as a single  and it hyped me up for the album a lot (wasn't too impressed with The Mother Road)
I love how Be All Things is so calm and peaceful and how it's sound really embodies its message.
When Anger Turns To Honey is another quite unusual song when looking at Chelseas repertoire. I ike the soft beats and the way she sings on it.
And then there is Prelude To A Dream Play, which has this Lovecraft-ian creepiness and would have perfectly fit on the second half of Abyss aswell.
Last but not least, the title track "Birth Of Violence" is an excellent track aswell.

Finally read through it all and i love it. Best interview she's had since her BTD era.
The interviewer really got down with the good questions. Im surprised Lana actually answered them all- though she did brush over some, what we got is still heaps.

I think it's really true, and sometimes annoying (but more funny) that she does contradict herself so much, but oh well. She studied philosophy what do we expect. she just likes thinking
  15. Ultra Violet liked a post in a topic by Edelgard in Do you think Lana has any psychiatric diagnoses?
I think she just is/was one of those persons that think too much, which generally can lead to depression and isolation. She studied philosophy, it’s hard to question everything you thought you knew. In Pawn Shop Blues she mentions that’s she’s looking for wisdom. This shines through in her work, she’s obsessed with poetry. She’s definitely been depressed, but I think it’s a different kind of depression than Barrie, that’s why she found it so hard to deal.

Ugh, everytime I listen to Nurse's Office I tell myself "this'll be it. I'll listen to it once more and the background shit will slip past me and it will become a bop!" But no :/

Okay, updated feelings! I was honestly expecting more from this era considering the wait, something way more hipster (like reflecting her new look with the 70's vibes and glasses and stuff) dark, and more mature. The visuals are beautiful in the movie but the movie is ehhh, but I wasn't really expecting much from the movie anyways. The music (expect a select few) falls very flat for me, nothing made me go "OMG!!" like i was expecting. Cry Baby is so iconic and everything feels so different with that album compared to this one, BUT thats probably because I was so much younger when it came out and I thought her concept was so awesome, edgy, and new! I almost feel like I'm too old to be listening to it now? Kinda just bland for me at this point, still enjoying listening sometimes though!

This is a very personal song for me. This song reminded me of my dead brother. I lost him in February 2018 and it was a very hard time and I still miss him so much. He loved this song and he had a little Band with some friends and they covered that song. Personally I like this song too but it is a very emotional for me to listen to it. I avoid to listen to this song in public bc it feels like a connection to my brother and this song leaves me in tears

Back when shitty YouTube quality songs were my source of music. I had never had a relationship, but had petty crushes on boys from school. So for some reason I always thought those songs related to my situation, but they never did.
