  1. wow she really acts like Ultraviolence never happened https://twitter.com/LDReyGlobal/status/597162391583883264 Or maybe this is truly the continuation of BTD/Paradise. idk
  2. It's amazing how confident, sexy and beatiful she was during Do Right. Unbelievable
  3. We all know she became disillusioned with music industry/fame. She played the fame game for too long and when she finally achieved her dream it didn't feel like success. Whenever I read this interview I miss the old 24 years old Lana who was obsessed with fame: "I'm talking about epic, knocked-down, dragged-out love stories in song. That's what I'm heading towards. I want to destroy lives with my music and to understand the glamour of danger(...). I know a lot of different people. When they are drunk, in the dark of the night they all want the same thing. They all want to be famous. It's innately human to want other people to bear witness to your life. It's important for people to be watched. They don't want to be alone. I don't want to be alone." I feel this Lana would do anything to achieve success (and she did it). But right now she isn't the same 24 years old Lana anymore. Her perception of music, career and success has changed. Her interviews in UV era just make clear isn't about moving people with her music anymore but is much more important how things are for her. Is she really wrong ? I don't know, take for example an artist like SIA - she doesn't tour or do promo regularly. A lot of indie acts do a lot of "media tour" ( talk shows, radios performances, videos) and so on but mostly of them can't really really find any chart success.
  4. 563,00$ for front row tickets? "Hallelujah, I'm gonna take them for all that they got!" *literally
  5. I think the Born To Die performance (Live at the Premises) is private on Vevo.
  6. I was thinking about some soundtracks songs that never got released and recently Rita Ora also had a song on a movie but her label didn't release it as a single, right? Let's hope LIB has a better chance ( although I don't believe we're going to hear it anytime soon. The hype is gone, movie flopped, she already has a video for a new song so it doesn't make sense to release a new single right now).
  7. What do you need to get high for when your baby's so die for? I'm obsessed with Us Against the World
  8. People here don't seem to understand how a record label works. She might have written the song but they are the owners, she's the artist and they capitalize her work. If her label decided to not release the full song isn't her fault. We should know by now her manager is shit, there's no planning at all.
  9. Why people need to be so negative about a ballad written for a movie? It doesn't need to sound different from her usual stuff because that's the reason why the producers wanted her on the soundtrack in first place. It's a classic ballad with a cinematic feel and it fits perfectly the tone of the trailer. But something about the timing of this release tell me this was last-minute decision to put her on the soundtrack ( maybe to get some buzz for the movie).
  10. Lana said the album is closer to BTD/Paradise and "very different" from her last one ( UV). If people will be dissapointed she is the one to blame. So far the chances of being a BTD/P part 2 or a completely different album is 50/50 since both Emile and Ronson confirmed working with her. Remember that Lana described that Yayo version on Paradise and MDM as "jazz influenced". So let's just wait for more information because sometimes what she describes is very different from what we get
  11. I think she has exactly in mind what he can add to the sound of the record "That’s why I wanted to meet Mark Ronson: I played him ten songs I just composed for this next album. Not so much that he added his usual signature, soul and funk, but rather it explores a sound close to the golden age of jazz"
  12. If she didn't work with Ronson so far and already has 4 songs finished with "perfect production" so I guess Emile is responsible for the production of these, right?
  13. If she didn't work with Ronson so far and already has 4 songs finished with "perfect production" so I guess Emile is responsible for the production of these, right?
  14. It's really strange we haven't seen a single picture of her leaving a studio or recording something. Is she recording the album all by herself in her basement or something?
  15. I genuinely believed her criticism might have come from a real issue with Lana's position and her artistic vision but after this....just no.
  16. She just called Lana's music 'boring' in a Billlboard interview: "With Lana Del Rey, it's all wondering what her persona is. She's interesting because she uses self-destruction as the next step in sexuality and self-branding. I just think her music is kind of boring." But this particularly quote it's quite interesting: "And I didn't want to write about Courtney; that was something my editor was interested in". Which leads us to the very suspicious differences between Pitchfork's quote and the one published on the book. Adding her attitude towards all this ( tweeting stuff just for the show of attention) and the media coverage she got after this I'm pretty sure this is her way to sell books.
  17. This is....surprising. Specially coming from her.
  18. It worries me she is going to work with Emile again...they seem to close after Wait For Life
  19. Honestly after the promotion campaign of her two last albuns ( Paradise and UV) I don't expect too much from her when it comes to this. For Honeymoon I just expect her to continuously support her music by releasing music videos. Lana is truly a visual artist so it was a really let down how she handled UV as a whole ( I love the visuals....but only 3 videos for this era?). Even if her label didn't want to release more singles ( which is not the case since they released both Brooklyn Baby and Black Beauty and supported with remixes) she can do her own videos. BTD it wasn't a hit at first in US but she keep supporting the project with videos and see what happeened. I just expect this kind of compromising for this new project
  20. Her comment about the upcoming tour is completely disappointed, I'm not really hoping anything new from this tour she will probably sing the same songs over and over. I wish she was more passionate about performing as as much as writing. Personally I'm much more interested in personal lyrics rather than realistic ( maybe that's why I hate St peppers lonely heart club) that's why I thought the smartest move she could do is actually take a time to write something new. But her comments it's interesting at least she knows she need something new and fresh.
  21. This is interesting... " I feel that the three records were so heavy and autobiographical. It’s been so cathartic. I like to use my previous work as a jump-off point to do something new. I’m ready to go into more of a ‘Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds’ surrealist place. That’s why I really do like what I heard about Fellini and all of the movies that were overdubbed and the actors were counting and not saying lines. I couldn’t believe that. http://entertainment.inquirer.net/163131/lana-del-rey-i-was-very-wild
