Every summer I get really into watching movies since I have all the time in the world, this summer (and last summer) I've been on a pre-code and film noir kick. What are your favorite old films?
One of my top film noir picks is Scarlet Street with Joan Bennett and Edward G. Robinson. Also The Killing by Stanley Kubrick is amazing. I'm watching Whistle Stop with Ava Gardner and George Raft rn and 5 minutes in I could tell it was gonna be one of me faves. As far as pre-code goes I LOVE Baby Face with Barbara Stanwyck and Gold Diggers of 1933.

Okay so basically you put your iTunes/music playlist on shuffle and you have to write the first 10 songs that play. I'll start:
1. Storm Passes Away - Jake Bugg
2. Vivica - Jack Off Jill
3. And I Lover Her - Kurt Cobain (Home Recordings)
4. Hey Baby - Bruce Channel
5. New Year's Prayer - Jeff Buckley
6. Witches' Rave - Jeff Buckley
7. Revolution - The Cult
8. Homeward Bound - Simon & Garfunkel
9. I Love You, Honeybear - Father John Misty
10. Thousand Fold - Jeff Buckley
Wtf? I have like, almost 200 Lana song and she didn't come up

no because it aids in the prison industrial complex
do you agree that law enforcement exists to protect the status quo of the wealthy and elite rather than to provide "justice for all"?

digital collages have been part of my practice for about a year and a half now, here are some of my favorites!
none of the images used to create the collages are mine. At the time I was making them, I never planned to show them outside of class critiques, so I stupidly did not collect the sources. Additionally, I do not profit financially off of these particular images and when commissioned for a piece I use scans from my own collection of national geographics and images that are in the public domain.
In order:
Risky Business (May 2016)
Swell Vacation / 72-Day Marriage (May 2016)
Why Don't You Do Right? (June-July 2016)
Heartbreak and Betrayal (August 2016)
It's A Lie! (November 2016)
Six Months of Mourning (January 2017)
The Death of Beauty (April - May 2017)
hope you enjoy! i'm currently working on a slightly happier one :^)

idk if it's like, a marketing ploy, i think she honestly is like, "oh, maybe feminism is important!" but she just like came to the decision quietly, privately, on her own cuz she's a quiet private person. but i do have a hard time believing it goes beyond a liberalist interpretation that she gleaned from white feminists
