Holy crap. That pitchfork article is like th best thing I've ever read. It was so candid. I would kill to hear the audio recording of it. It genuinely makes me proud to be a fan of someone like Lana.

this interview convinced me and I won't listen to this fucking leak. I don't know what to say. I see how much effort lana puts on her music and this is a part of her soul, heart and life. I will not destroy it.

The Pitchfork article + interview is really awesome; Lanas answers seem quite "raw" and direct, I love that. Now Pitchfork has to give LFL at least a 8.5

One thing I noted in the interview is how she recorded the interview on her own phone too, that's smart! She's taking control of her own narrative, if any journalist twists her words she has proof right there to put the record straight! I'm happy she's doing that, a very smart move indeed!

seriously cannot believe this is actually happening. because i was literally let in early for some unknown reason I received my confirmation email & everything before it even hit 12 and they were on sale. unreal. i'm so happy right now i can't even put it into words.

She came in straight off a plane from her last show of like 60 cities, which I was actually supposed to open for. She had asked me, and I was like, “Oh my god.” But I couldn’t because I don’t want to do a 60-show tour.

I teared up when I read that she started to cry. She's not in the place I assumed she was and I hope things get better for her.

I think Lana's in the middle of emotions. Like, she's not depressed, she's not happy, yet she's capable of allowing herself to be happy from time to time and also capable of falling into the pits of darkness. But I still believe she's on the more happier side.

Damn, that interview was so raw and emotional. She expands on ideas and questions in ways we haven't seen since she was burned during the Ultraviolence promo cycle with the "I wish I was dead already." She's such an honest person, to a fault, even when she's saying she doesn't want to answer a question. I really respect her as an artist and a human just trying to make a life.

I think that people are kinda forcing the "LANA IS HAPPY NOW!!" narrative... Lana probably has some form of clinical depression, and it's likely she's not just "cured" of that. She still sounds melancholy. This record may be lighter in mood than her other material but I'm not sure that she's all rainbows and sunshine now. She seems like she's in a better place and I think we should accept that instead of forcing L4L to be her "happy" record

So now we can understand why Yosemite isn't on Lust For Life :/
