The recent article that was published noting she was "breaking up with big hair" broke my heart a little, but I'll still remain hopeful.. I mean hey, The Gucci campaign shot at the end of 2017 featured her lovely big hair (and her acrylics !!!!), and even on tour through the first half of 2018 she still tried to put in little bumps here and there, even if it wasn't as extravagant as before. It's no doubt it's harder to do because her hair is shorter, but hey, extensions exist. I'm just really hoping Steven will bring it out in her again, as the only true 2012-style hair we've gotten since 2012 are the two shoots from Steven + Gucci campaign. Lana with big hair is just so iconic x

Lana just tweeted out that she will be shooting again with Steven Klein for V Magazine!! Contrary to her tweet, this could mean her 3rd cover with V Magazine x Steven Klein. Additionally, this could also mean the album cover, but I doubt that.

fans need to stop acting so entitled with this. Lana technically owes us NOTHING. Yes, you could argue she does to a degree because we've supported her, but no one forced us to buy her music. She never asked us to support her, we did it because we wanted to. To spam her family, management, etc demanding music from her is so grossly selfish and entitled. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
All these assumptions and expectations are ruining this whole era. We all know Lana's releases can get messy, it's not new. So WHY are you expecting this to roll out smoothly when it hasn't in the past? It's your own damn fault for being disappointed, because you built up the false hope. It's like when LMs got angry when there was no MV for The Cure, when there was no factual evidence that there was ever going to be one. 
Acting go childish and entitled is why Lana hates being famous, because she has to deal with this bullshit every day. Honestly if I were her and saw all this dumb shit, I'd scrap the album and retire from music. 
This is getting out of hand. As a community, we need to stop acting childish. I know some of you are actual children, so you don't know any better, but cmon. I know people are going to @ me saying "we're kidding" but the thing is you're not. 
Also remember we are LUCKY and FORTUNATE to get as much music from Lana in such a short period of time. Not a lot of artists regularly drop music like she does. And also, some fanbases have been waiting much much longer for new music from their faves than we have. Be grateful for what we have, and how much Lana has worked with releasing new music.

I still believe that some of this pushback is beyond Lana's control. I genuinely think that the album was gonna be released March 29th but was delayed either to push Billie's record or so that she could make adjustments.
 
It doesn't make sense that in January we were told the album was completely finished and mastered, then we got a buzz single suggesting that the album was closer than expected. Suddenly Lana goes silent and Ben confirms that there's no release date now (despite all publications saying March 29th) and she's still recording.
 
Now, imagine being Lana. If she's having difficulty releasing this album the way she wanted to or is having conflict with her label over the sound etc. Then there's fans spamming her and her families social media as if she's deliberately just holding back the album for no reason. She stated in her last interview that once an album is finished she wants to just drop it and move on to the next one.
 
I believe this is why she's being silent because perhaps she doesn't have the answers? She might not know when the album is coming or when the next single is being pushed etc. Maybe that's why she's posting poems and trying to give us something. And before people say "she should just be honest", as much as I miss the communication with her, we all know if she said the label had delayed her album that her management etc would get spammed - possibly causing more difficulty in the long run.
 
Anyways, I think we should trust her and have faith.

My name has never appeared anywhere, and I've written hundreds of songs. Privacy is everything to me. Dealing with obsessive fans* & psychotic groupies at a very early age made a huge impact on me. A close friend of my best friend got fucking shot by a "fan". We talk about having your songs leaked, but this shit happens too. I truly wish you the best, but be careful.

Fame is one of the worst things that can happen to a person. It horrifies me. Maybe it's my BPD, maybe it's my anxiety disorder, but I don't think of fame as anything but a curse. I'd rather be poor than famous, and that's saying something considering how much I love money. I need my fucking peace. I've gone through hell, still going through it, in silence, behind closed doors. So many people think they know me and they don't know shit. They don't even know I'm sick. They probably think I'm just lazy, like we say Lana is. I can't imagine thousands of rabid fans harassing me & demanding that I mAkE aN eFfOrT while I'm just trying to get through each day without jumping off a fucking window. But I don't make promises I can't keep. And I didn't chase fame. Way too many people think of Lana as this shy, introverted sad girlTM who just wants to write love songs in the rain and hide in deserted beaches. She might have regretted fame, but she wanted it. She didn't ask for this, she begged for this. She fought for this. She went from New York to LA and London for this. She sucked dick for this.
 
She wasn't a child star who got pushed into a celebrity lifestyle she didn't choose. She's been glamourizing the everloving fuck out of fame for like 15 years now. She worked so hard to become a star, refusing to give up even as the years went by and seemingly nothing happened. What can I say, be careful what you wish for... But she knew what she was getting herself into. She grew up watching celebrities getting harassed by paparazzi and having their personal lives invaded in the most shameless manner. She's been so lucky so far, the SNL thing & the UV backlash are nothing compared to what other celebrities have had to face. Nobody even gives a fuck about her anymore, only her fans. She manages to live a mostly quiet life, while still being able to call herself famous. I don't feel like most of us are asking for too much. Like I said, actions have consequences. Everything comes at a cost. You trade privacy for fame. And when you make promises, you are expected to keep them. When you lead people on, don't get mad if they get upset. And when you give up on your career, don't get upset when your fans give up on you.
