  1. So. let. me. just. gush. holy shit. she was AMAZING. I- there were moments where it felt like heaven n she was part of the angel's choir. ohmygod. I'll never forget yesterday. Thank you Ms Polachek edit: not done. the effects. the simplicity. Surprised at how I immediately loved Hey Big Eyes, New Normal, Go As A Dream. Parachute?? Wowowow Door tho. that track. Floored.
  2. still can't over this like what wow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bN_2R62f4kw
  3. Hope she's doin ok.. edit: also came to say. Her music. Makes me wanna twirl so so much its beautiful
  4. This is gonna be so strange to say, so bear w me here. Has anyone watched Inception? U know that scene where Marion Cotillard is stuck in their apartment, as Leo goes up w Ellen Page, and she's just there? The grammy's reaction gives me those vibes. Except I think she doesn't really mind, and her fans do more. Which! Is great- but I'd rather be on the elevator. I think its because Lana symbolizes loss AND hope during a generation, as to how she inspires many artists today, but at the same time, no one else can really do it like her. It makes me sad, since it seems like she's fading out from pop culture, but thing is, she's always just been there, as if she were ready to kinda just be w and mingle w the past thru her work, and how she is. I genuinely enjoy that about her. Would I LOVE? for her to do some Britney Spears space sexy disco? Hell yes! But what I also appreciate about her, ironically, is how her cultness, gives you a choice. It's not loud, definitely misunderstood, but it's caring enough to guide you when you need it. If any of that past sentence makes any coherent sense- what I'm trying to say is, her humanity and meekness, make me appreciate her more as an artist and person. and I like how her music is more like a guide than suffocation. I think it's important and that more artists should be like her in that way, where she's strong enough to be herself, do what she wants, and have new fans come to her. Maybe I just like the subtle works of it all, but really, I'm glad she's not fame hungry. We're not even famous and I'd like to think we're at least aware of how perilous that can be. Like, she's more of a Kylie Minogue than Madonna, and I think it's great.
  5. plain n simple. I was on youtube listening to some Gaga, Born to Die came up, n I was like, wtf? this song makes me so tired. Blue Jeans came on, and little did my gay self know. like the stars miss the sun in the morning skies ~
  6. Galaxies. Bruises look like galaxies
  7. Gogo dancer, Driving in cars w boys. hit n run, queen of the gas station, big bad wolf meet me in the pale moonlight do u think pop Lana has a chance
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTMrQl_MqcA
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ossKN_SXCU ok but does anyone actually like the demo version a bit more tho too?
  10. Ok ok, there are people on here. has anyone seen her perform live?? bc if all goes well I will be. what's she like, what about merch? all thaaaaaat
  11. Ms. Polachek the title track is amazing. Ur music makes me wanna just spin while dancing
  12. I think its mutualistic. They sort of perpetuate each other, pop culture to rep.
  13. I genuinely love how she's not wearing accessories. kinda brings everything back to a human level, it's an unusually sensual look imo
  14. same here. tons of memories. I visited a lot of places w water, I know it's funny to say, but mm yeah. dreamy spots. lots of sunset moments. actually went up to visit the snow. it's so calming. makes ya feel less alone. I usually listen to bartender n HiaB just whenever, HIADT, during the day. I can't stomach listening to it at night anymore. Venice is real versatile tho right? I still remember visiting an old spot listening to The Greatest leak. damn. a lot of attachment to this record. think it'll last longer than the year we waited for it
  15. said u feel lost, well so do I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi8TS13SlMM the lyrics. the dreaminess what.
  16. so I went to a driving range the other day. this album's good for that too. the title track, n love song. htd? the calmer side of the record. the calm? wow wow wow wow. I think, maybe w anyone else too? idk I guess I got paranoid bc of the tensions earlier this year. now a bio virus scare. it kinda makes me wanna hold tight to what's important to me. more importantly to what's left. The Greatest seems to mean so much more than just a love song. I think I'm Coachella'ing a little bit. but. does anyone kinda feel like the end of the world just keeps getting closer? ah I might be overthinking again but. hm tldr; this record's great for listening to what feels like the ending of things. it's a nice friendly guide.
  17. Creyk, yessss. The innocence of it, the importance of being open n acknowledging what u feel. The funny strength of being vulnerable. I’m probably ranting, but ok, isn’t it just great being able to express oneself that way? So pure, n authentic just like wow im amazed everyday. And she just does it. So powerful I think it takes a lot to b more honest w urself, and she’s so amazing for it. Floored
  18. "holding hands w the darkness and knowing my heart is allowed." one of my fave lyrics. the acknowledgemeeeeent that leads to better things. stream sweeter place.mp3
