Maybe he brings out the religious side in Lana. After all, he looks like a hobo version of Jesus.

Okay well since opinions are opinions, lets list our faves tbh. I'm not going to include Applause atm because it would be number one right now, but I don't think it will be after it's freshness wears off.
1. Judas
2. Bad Romance
3. Scheiße
4. Bloody Mary
5. Poker Face
6. Alejandro
7. Heavy Metal Lover
8. Paparazzi
9. Born This Way
10. Electric Chapel

Finally the wig in public! VMAs please.
I love all of Gaga's albums and I've had individual connections with all three of them because I hopped on right at "Just Dance". However, I'm a huge deluded Born This Way fan and I still listen to it the most often. The entire summer after it came out I swear I played it daily. It was just on a completely different level for me. As for 10 favorites:
1. Dance in the Dark
2. Heavy Metal Lover
3. Electric Chapel
4. Future Love
5. Paper Gangsta
6. Disco Heaven (Demo)
7. Teeth
8. Government Hooker
9. Captivated
10. Aura? No, if we're eliminating all ARTPOP options so far...No Floods, piano version

Yes! I've always thought this. Like "K" is actually Kent, and just her teenage loves in one.
For K Part 1 - "I turned down the light, then I heard the sirens interrupt the silence. Is this what you wished, to commit a crime?" This could be Lana when she was still at home in Lake Placid and the "sirens interrupting the silence" could be her hearing of her parents fighting or saying that they're going to send her to boarding school and the "crime" that she "committed" was drinking and being sent to Kent was her punishment.

Now that I think about it, I don't think she has (that we've found). What if Sirens doesn't exist? What if its just some fake album made up of songs on her old myspace?

"I was kind of a night owl and just walked around and met weird people. That was me picking up life experiences and meshing them into my own. That really did it for me."
i think that quote kinda confirms that some of this could be fictional and she's just writing off the experiences of the people that she met.
but i still believe K is real

I think K was just an older man who helped Lana financially. I imagine her parents cut her off after she relapsed/ wouldn't fund her lifestyle, so she did what she could to continue in music. And maybe she loved him as a person but had ~true~ love on the side (or so she thought) w/ her punk rock boyfriend. (maybe this is the guy that did drugz) Golden grill = Escalade, Bugatti, etc. I could imagine that the reason she listed all these cars is because maybe he was a collector. Baby, you'll never grow old in my eyes= he's saying he's too old for her, she's saying she'll never see him as old, if he's got the cars & $$, she'll always be there, he'll never be old to her ~~ etc etc. Possible that he worked in politics? Where she got the JFK references.. and dealt on Wall Street (Boarding School) embezzling money and such and that's how she saw him as ~gangster.. it's possible he served time for that. And possible Mafia ties~ as Cipriani's basement and other lyrics suggest. I'm reminded of the HDB video. Maybe Lana was a kept girl and the guy that was in politics/wall street mafia man was married so they kept it on the low ~she was born to be tha other woman~

And in Heavy Hitter, "Queen of Monterey, run to that ocean." - Another ocean reference.
Another K theory I had if he was actually a serial killer: so around the time that Sirens was recorded (2004), there was the Jenner double murders (a couple was murdered on the beach in California) but it wouldn't add up as K was sentenced on death row and was convicted of his crimes. I just had that thought because I think we all have came to the conclusion that the ocean references are about K.

Well, I found something, I don't know if this is that interesting but here it goes.
I found an interview of reeve's band in 2008. ----> here (http://www.themilkcarton.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2583)
there's a part when the interviewer asks if there is some artist/band that they wanted to get more recognition. Reeve's brother, Zane talked about lana:'I have a friend in New York named Lizzy Grant, who’s just terrific. '
Maybe Zane introduced Lizzy to Reeve or something like that. Or maybe Zane is the local rockstar?
Now the crazy theory
Zane and Reeve besides being brothers, they seem good friends. Maybe best friends.
What if Lana was dating Zane and cheated on him with Reeve. (or vice versa)
What if in 'get drunk' she is singing about them? I mean, she wouldn't sing ' i am sleeping with your brother'. I think that would be too strange.
I think that's it. I hope this doesn't sound too crazy.
I'm not crazy, I swear.

Makes sense to me. I guess if you just took some cloned women and men fully grown and stuck them someplace together to see what kind of society they would form, all-consuming love wouldn't have to be related to gender necessarily. But with the human history we've been born into, it's women (generally speaking) who have been more encouraged to make their lives revolve around men, you know? So now men can get away with it more often, while it triggers more red flags when a woman says it.
I for one try not to treat casual fans as second-class citizens, while respecting their right to only listen to Lana's released albums, and only as much as they feel like it But it's still possible for a legitimately casual fan to have an overly superficial understanding of BTD's lyrics, by reacting rather than really trying to understand.

but she *is* in control; she wants what she wants *regardless* of the judgements she'd inevitably garner in response to it all. it really just depends on how you read into it. its a bit of a circular, more convoluted sense of control, but theres no doubt a willingness and a certain intent behind it all
i think it can be empowering, to someone with the proper mindset. the gist is: do what you want and fuck what society or anyone else says

I think it comes with the territory. Rihanna and Miley get away with it because nobody takes them serious. They are just powerhorse selling machines with zero depth.
Lana on the other hand sees herself as an artist and she touches these topics in a different way, but because people tend to dismiss sex without love and simply call it porn / porn fantasies, critics refuse to give her respect for expressing her desire for a dominant male or the explicit lyrics.

most sex talk in pop songs annoys me tbh. it's like they're just singing about it because it's supposedly a taboo (which it isn't at all anymore, what is tbh) and they're trying to be edgy. tired image of a star acting naughtier than we really are~~
