They got the lyrics wrong. -
I have the standard version of his debut album but I’ve always wanted to deluxe version so I gotta but that, and now I guess I have to buy NCP EP as well and then the new album in March. And then Lana as well.I guess I will stay broke this year too.

Hm, I was comparing Neil with Chuck, but no, I think Nicole’s pictures are great too - I just don’t think it’s necessary to edit Lana’s face the way she did. But if that is her vision and art direction, yeah, sure, I do prefer Neil’s “five layers of dirt”. -

The cover for BTD is a classic to me, but she edited Lana’s face waaay too much in my opinion... that’s just too bad, I don’t think it was necessary. Krug’s Honeymoon photos are simply magical. And his photos for Ultraviolence when Lana’s laying in the grass and stuff. His way of imagining things is on a completely different level than Chuck. It’s as if he takes more time to create what he wants - editing colors dramatically, creating an almost surreal world - while it feels like Chuck simply takes a photo... and that’s it. It can be good, because I do like some of her works, but if you have seen Krug’s work on Instagram... wow. I love them and I would buy a poster of one of those photos if I had money and my own place to stay. And, to be honest, you don’t even have seen check his newer works to see that his vision is so different. However, since this album seems to be more down-to-earth in terms of lyrics, perhaps Chuck would suit better for this album with her simpler pictures? Just a thought, but yeah, there are other photographers out there too. -

I was thinking the same. I get that we are frustrated (some more than others I suppose) but you can complain in a kinder way than just saying "you suck at your job, give us something". We have no idea what's going on (but hopefully they do lol), but I think (hope) that they're doing the best they can. Otherwise Lana would probably not stick with them for so many years? I think the LFL era was handled fairly well with all these interviews, shows before the tour and then the tour afterwards - the worst thing was just "never" getting it confirmed when the release day for the album would be... but that's kind of our fault as well with Love leaking... Anyway. Yes, I agree with you lol. -

I think that's the one I will remember the best because you hit like an emotional spot. =P

Napalm Death - The Zelda nerd in me liked that you used Song of Healing hehe, but omg, I got a heart attack when I saw that doggy running away with the firework! I hope nobody got hurt. I think it was really clever of you to use the sound of fireworks mixed with crying dogs, that honestly hurt to hear. Very smart move to get people to understand what your message is. And, again, I’m sorry about your dog. Pets mean so much, I sometimes still dream about my parrot or think that she’s sitting on the kitchen door even though she passed away many years ago now. Aventurine - This somehow made me think of Snow Patrol even though their songs don’t sound like this? Or maybe they do, I haven’t heard that many tbh lol, but I like your voice! I know it’s just a demo so maybe the lyrics would be heard better if there was a final version...? So unfair that your laptop got stolen. Baby Moonstone - That bass! This beat! Really interesting that you kept the melody of your singing different throughout the song when the background music itself was kinda repetitive, I like that. Too bad that it was so short, I’d love it if you added the same melody you had in the beginning (“Call me if you ever get lost” etc) towards the end... but then again, I’m not sure how I would wrap up the song if I did that. I just liked that melody, hehe. Good work!! The Sky Right Now - I remember this one for being a heavy song... and I can tell that this one is pretty personal too. You’re brave for putting words to your emotions and writing a song out of them. This is personally not my kind of music, but you did a good job. I liked the subtle beats. Hugs!

From Hozier's instagram story, Feb 16th 2019: He looks forward to play Dinner & Diatribes, Nobody and Almost (Sweet Music) live because they're "fun" The artwork for the album cover is made by his mother again ♥ Booker T Jones has been working with him for 6-7 of the songs Almost (Sweet Music) was the hardest one to write partly because it's the most personal one Favorite lyric line of the album is from Wasteland, Baby!, from the chorus: "Be still, my indelible friend // You are unbreaking, though quaking, though crazy // That's wasteland, baby" All songs were written in 2 years-18 months He describes Sunlight as "big, coral(?), redemptive; it's one of the happier ones" To Noise Making (Sing) will be referencing and sample one of Seamus Heaney's poems -------------- I'll just drop this here as well:

Lana Del Rey x Jared Leto - GUCCI GUILTY
Beautiful Loser replied to Say Yes to Heaven's topic in New Releases
If anyone is interested in the perfume and what it’s supposed to smell like: https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Gucci/Gucci-Guilty-Eau-de-Parfum-52481.html It’s seems to be very floral and a bit citrus-y. I’ll try and take a sniff whenever I’m near a beauty store. -
YG clearly made BlackPink into a more “traditional” girl group where choreography is in the center which takes away some of their stage presence. I think they’re great girls and I wish them all the best but I’m still salty about how YG Ent. treated 2NE1 and I’m convinced that they were dumped as soon as they could debut these pretty girls... 2NE1 were always called ugly, even by YG himself so... I thought Bom would release songs last November but the news are still sparse... but I’ll keep waiting for her.

Same, NFWMB was my favorite, I played it all fall. I guess I have to buy the EP too now...

Wasteland, Baby! will be released 1st March! If you preorder the album now on his homepage, you will get a chance to buy tour tickets for the European leg earlier than others! European leg will be autumn/winter 2019 - dates will be up later. (The green shade for the vinyl is sooo pretty...!) His new song Almost (Sweet music) is FANTASTIC in my opinion - go and check it out now! He also revealed the track list: Nina Cried Power (Featuring Mavis Staples) Almost (Sweet Music) Movement No Plan Nobody To Noise Making (Sing) As It Was Shrike Talk Refined Be Dinner & Diatribes Would Sunlight Wasteland, Baby! So 14 songs in total! Unfortunately it seems that NFWMB and Moment’s Silence (Common Tongue) aren’t on the album. I will update later with his comments on the album from questions sent by fans on Instagram story.

I never get tired of Utada. It's kinda interesting to hear her in this kind of music since it's so different from her own... not sure if I truly love it though. Maybe I will in the future.

I began reading The Queen of the Night by Alexander Chee last week and since I'm so bad with reading lately, I'll probably take me a year to finish it. So far it's pretty good though! Cover art

Guys... I was just thinking how extremely criticized Lana was at the beginning of her career, ridiculed for always writing sad songs and what else... and how it made her depressed... and now she’s given us perhaps her most honest song ever, Hope. Isn’t that fantastic that she’s confident and brave enough to put it out for the world to hear? How far she’s come? To write a song which isn’t necessarily about violence, abuse or bad relationships but her true and honest feelings? I’m just -
