I'm glad they caught him before he could do any harm to Lana. This is some real fucked up shit.

I was there, in like 3rd row or so. I was recording a video of her performance so my focus was on her and first I thought it was just a staff member coming to adjust her mic stuff or something but jesus christ I was shocked when I realized it definitely wasn't, stopped recording right there. I looked at my friend and she looked at me, I'll never forget the expression on her face... people were literally shouting things like "WHAT THE FUCK" around me and well, myself included. Finns are very introverted and shy people (like we'll literally do anything to avoid going in the same elevator with our neighbours and stuff lol), some get wild once they're drunk as fuck but I've never seen or heard of someone going on stage at concerts of this scale in our country. Looks can be deceiving but looking at the guy who managed to do that, I very much assume that he was a foreigner.

About the comment on the last page, about writing mean messages on his facebook (I thought it was too long to quote, sorry) : I don’t think he would really care if he read all the angry messages. He has this vision in his mind and if he was prepared to go to the concert with a knife to kidnap Lana, I don’t think he would care if he makes people upset or hurt others (with his knife??) as long as he gets want he wants. He’s delusional and and is most likely psychotic in some way. I don’t think “reason” would work on him. What he needs is a psychologist that can evaluate (sorry if it’s the incorrect word) his mind and help him.

I'm truly terrified, but that man really needs help. It was really dangerous not only for Lana, but for thousands people on the arena. Thank to God that police have arrested him, before something happened...

He is a SICK CREEP and I don’t wanna think about what he would have done if he succeed!! I’m SO glad that someone gave the police a tip, he seemed to be really delusional and writing obsessive, creepy stuff on his facebook. EW.
NOBODY MAY HURT MY LANA!

At a Lady Gaga concert, before attending, we had to pull everything out of our pockets, keep it in our hands or lay it down on a table and I was pat down at the front door. Bags could only be sized very small and it would also be checked, and if it was too big, you weren’t getting into the venue. If you had a special ticket which costs more than one thousand euro, so you could meet her, you had to be pat down as well and you had to keep your hands up when going to the room where you meet Lady Gaga. I think for the next time, Lana Del Rey should definitely tighten security. Definitely what happened after that Manchester incident. If that wasn’t a lesson for many pop stars and their teams, then I don’t know what will cause them to tighten security and protect the artist and the fans. If the man goes to the same venue with the same security level as a Lady Gaga concert, then at the front door the cops already would’ve been called and he would’ve been pushed against the floor when finding the knife. Although I understand that it’s easier said then done, because I assume Lady Gaga has more attendees and earns enough money to pay really good security. Anyway, I hope he’s getting locked up in a psych ward and getting the treatment he needs for his issues. His Facebook and Instagram page is creepy.

While these people have done terrible things that in most cases are totally unforgivable, I do agree with you in the sense that prison and punishment is actually not the most effective method of dealing with people with these sorts of issues.
 
I loved the platform that Hillary Clinton campaigned on in relation to prisons - she believes that putting low to mid-level criminals through psychotherapy and rehabilitation programs is better than just dumping them in a prison but not fixing their problems when they leave the institution. Obviously people deserve to be punished when they commit crimes and illegal acts, particularly things like this where there is malicious and violent intent, but prison by itself really doesn't solve the problem at all. These people will leave the prisons and potentially do the exact same things again without proper counselling and intervention. And for those with serious mental illnesses that are unable to be cured, such as severe schizophrenia, it's important they are placed in proper care rather than just released out to the world unchecked.
 
It's a shame that Trump's desired method of dealing with all criminals is simply deporting them if they're 'illegals' or increasing their punishment and sentences. Yes, they deserve punishment, but what they really need is HELP, or they'll just repeat the same criminal acts again!
 
Sorry to turn this political, as well, but I think it's really important people recognize situations like this are largely influenced by who is in power and how they deal with crime.

I don't wanna sound like I sympathize with the criminals but when I see people like this or school shooters or criminally obsessed people, I feel like they need mental help & therapy to get their mind straight more than jail time & torture.

I am so glad this was intercepted. This is why I mention in my videos that I am a harmless fan and just having fun. I have had people post comments suggesting I might be like this guy.  Sucks she has to deal with this.

This is probably a reason, albeit potentially small, she usually sticks to seeing the same fans over and over- she trusts n is comforted by them I'd guess
 
but then again this is the same girl that supposedly trusted anybody off the bat and did the craziest things with strangers having full optimism in their intentions so I'm not really sure abt her gut instinct when meeting ppl

When he talks about Lana then says to his friend “I’m going to have a son” god only knows what he was planning on doing to Lana. Fucking despicable. I really don’t know what else to say about this whole situation. It’s scary.

Being stalked and kidnapped by Lana is actually a fantasy of mine.

i really hope she has a good support system behind her that can help her to feel comforted and safe, and i hope fans are respectful at future shows if she chooses not to spend much time at the barrier or anything like that, i just want her to feel safe and secure

I kind of say this every time, she’s had a lot of these situations, but “not enough” for how popular she is THANKFULLY. She’s got a huge cult fan base, I’m so glad this doesn’t happpen as much as it does. Even though she had the person come in stage and hug her and those crazy Russian fans a few years back these situations are so far and in between. I’m so glad most of you guys are sane. And I’m so glad the police took it seriously. And god bless the person who told them.

I'm beyond thankful that the police arrested him. Idk what I would do if he hurt her. The fact that crazy people like this exist all over is upsetting.

"Why he wanted to ruin a good night?", he had a knife, I don't think he'd care whether or not he'd ruin the night for everyone. Wouldn't be a question in his mind.

Thankfully no one got hurt and they caught him before he made it into the audience. Hopefully Lana has Ashley and Alex and other good people around her right now. I would imagine this would be pretty unsettling, to say the least. 
The guy is clearly very unwell and I honestly hope he gets some help, or at the very least a restraining order.
