I CAN'T WAIT THREE MORE DAYS!! I need both Groupie Love and Summer Bummer NOW, they sound so amazing already! Do you know how many times I've had that puzzled togethered snippet of SB on repeat?? TOO MANY.
I know the time will go by fast since summer research school will occupy my thoughts, but still. >___<

That's true, but I meant Ride, or Ultraviolence, or West Coast, or Young and Beautiful; one of the classics she's performed several times last year but we can't assume it'll be sung this year. I think she tries to avoid taking risks in singing too much new songs because some of them feature special voice effects or ways of singing that she can't do as well as in the studio version - for example, I don't think she'll ever sing Summer Bummer live. I also think Cola might get off the setlist this year, which would be good because these same old songs become tiring when so much masterpieces are left behind.
 
 
 
Well, I'm not sure about Honeymoon. I think she did the strict minimum last year because she couldn't left her last record apart, but this time I don't think she'll perform any. Or, if she does, it will probably be the title track, even if I would die for Salvatore or TBD live
 
Even though these are classics, I'm here for Blue Jeans and Summertime Sadness leaving the setlist as well. I wouldn't mind if she only kept Video Games and Born To Die from this album tbh.

It's a shame though... Every song in Honeymoon deserved to be done live (except DLMBM lol), especially Art Deco, Religion and TBD   (Maybe sometime in the future?)
 
Obviously she won't perform Honeymoon or LFL songs on festivals but she could do it on her tour.

I don't think she'll sing that much from the record. I think she'll have around 12 tracks in her setlist this year, and she'll probably keep Video Games, Born To Die, Off To The Races, Summertime Sadness, Blue Jeans, Cola, Ride and Cruel World. That lets place to... let's be realistic, 4 or 5 other tracks, in which she may include one or two random songs from her earlier albums like she did with Lolita and Carmen last year. I think she'll sing Love, Lust For Life, Cherry and, if we are lucky, another one from the record - maybe White Mustang.

How can some of ya'll hate Love though? It's my favorite song from this whole era. When she says "Don't worry baby" and you can hear the humming in the background, you can hear a male voice very softly too. It's a very faint touch but for me, i get this strong sense of safety and comfort when i hear it. I feel warm and protected... and loved. I picture a loving grey moon smiling at me surrounded by a warm dark blue color. It's powerful and i probably sound very odd by saying this but it's incredible what great music can do. How it can touch your soul and bring out such beautiful emotions. I feel very spiritually connected to the song.

Hey yall, GL and SB might be out in 46 hours going by New Zealand time, I plan on staying up all night tomorrow (it'd be the night of July 10th going into July 11th) so I can be ready for when it turns 12AM 7/12/17 in NZ (and for me thats at 6am) I'm going to be spending today and tomorrow looking for a good recording device that doesnt make my recordings sound muffled (like the OG groupie snippet) so I can record both songs in full for anyone that doesnt have access to Spotify NZ. I just wanted to know, if i can't find anything that makes my recordings clear, are you okay with listening to the full songs in kind of muffled quality until the songs come out everywhere 12-24 hours later? (check the Groupie Love snippet on the GL lyric thread for reference to how it'd sound) Of course others might record it with clearer results later but right when the songs come out in NZ I'm gonna record and post

I can see Brooklyn Baby, Groupie Love, and Cruel World being in an album together if UV was more psychedelic.

Freak live is so much better than the studio version in my opinion. It's rockier and mistier and she sings it perfectly, especially when she does these high notes in the bridge. ❤️

I am pretty damn excited for Change. I don't know what the hate is about  the lyrics sound very fitting for these dark times

I cannot get over how good the Groupie Love snippet sounds. Personally I'm not quite as pumped for Summer Bummer as I am for Groupie Love, the latter just sounds 1000 times better in my opinion. Wow I'm so excited!!!!
