Hey yall, GL and SB might be out in 46 hours going by New Zealand time, I plan on staying up all night tomorrow (it'd be the night of July 10th going into July 11th) so I can be ready for when it turns 12AM 7/12/17 in NZ (and for me thats at 6am) I'm going to be spending today and tomorrow looking for a good recording device that doesnt make my recordings sound muffled (like the OG groupie snippet) so I can record both songs in full for anyone that doesnt have access to Spotify NZ. I just wanted to know, if i can't find anything that makes my recordings clear, are you okay with listening to the full songs in kind of muffled quality until the songs come out everywhere 12-24 hours later? (check the Groupie Love snippet on the GL lyric thread for reference to how it'd sound) Of course others might record it with clearer results later but right when the songs come out in NZ I'm gonna record and post

Groupie Love is something else. The melody when she sings "and everytime you look up"

I can see Brooklyn Baby, Groupie Love, and Cruel World being in an album together if UV was more psychedelic.

    STOP HATING ON CHANGE

Freak live is so much better than the studio version in my opinion. It's rockier and mistier and she sings it perfectly, especially when she does these high notes in the bridge. ❤️

I am pretty damn excited for Change. I don't know what the hate is about  the lyrics sound very fitting for these dark times

I cannot get over how good the Groupie Love snippet sounds. Personally I'm not quite as pumped for Summer Bummer as I am for Groupie Love, the latter just sounds 1000 times better in my opinion. Wow I'm so excited!!!!

What a change, some weeks ago everyone was calling this her worst album and everything was so negative, now almost everyone is happy
For me it's White Mustang = Cherry = BAR > Groupie Love=Summer Bummer > Love = Change > Lust For Life > Coachella, and I don't even dislike Coachella so you can guess I'm happy

The more i hear from the album the more i can see that while the sounds kinda vary in places it all does seem cohesive.

Going from Love to Cherry to SB to GL actually flows well.

    Cherry is amazing
    White Mustang is incredible
Groupie Love sounds so promising it's probably gonna snatch #2 or #1 best song on the album
Summer Bummer is a bop love the lyrics
Change grew so much on me and I can't wait for the full song

This album is so promising the only bad song is Coachella but the rest is so amazing I cant even

    Both really are incredible.

Summer Bummer has this dark and intense atmosphere, which reminds me of the colour purple and of a peaceful, yet mystical beach. I really love the fact that the record's songs are so diverse, the gangsta side of her is as interesting as the others.

Groupie Love is far better than what I could have expected. Her vocals, the folky exotic guitar, the wet and tropical-wood atmosphere, the unreleased vibes, that's too much for me

I'm super late but the groupie love snippet is the best thing we've heard so far in this era tbh and yes I'm one of the annoying fans that wanted the btd sound back and I'm really happy it's back with a twist! The summer bummer snippet is good too but I like groupie love more.

Also ik the album aesthetic seems out of place right now but I think all the music videos combined make the album trailer. The only peice we are missing is the magician part of the album trailer and maybe the next music video will have that?
    Love: space
    Lust for Life: Hollywood sign?
    3rd MV:??
