A little birdie told me. well sung really, that not only is Lasso not being reworked its actually a triple album!

For some of the younger people on here, here's some context for 2016 (my first election as a voter): Nobody thought Trump would win including Trump. Hillary was regularly beating him by 10-11 points in the polls and that was the worst result for a democrat against him. Bernie and Biden were beating him by Reagan margins. Also Hillary was doing everything in her power to lose despite being assured of her victory. (I briefly volunteered for her campaign. It is traumatic to me.) She spent all day left punching and press fighting as well as routinely saying out of touch stuff. Also for some stupid reason her staff negated one of her own strengths (in 08 she was able to pull massive crowds and nearly beat Obama in the primary) limiting her rallies to small auditoriums and gyms. This was only reversed near the end of the general election when it was far too late.  It was such a weird year to be alive and a young adult. It was the first truly crazy year. Naturally each year after was weirder.  Also: does anyone remember the killer clown thing from 2016? I'm glad it stopped but whatever was up with that.

this was the first election i was old enough to vote too. i'll never forget i took a government class in high school the year leading up to his election. My teacher would always say not to worry because there was no way the republican party would support him or anyone would take him seriously. I remember directly asking him towards the end of the year if trump could end up winning and he literally promised it would never happen. it's crazy how things change, the republican party has done a complete shift since 2016

I also think people are judging Kamala far too soon. She's within striking distance to Trump (~46% to his 47.5) with 0 Presidential campaigning. I am almost certain that once she starts holding large scale rallies, and once she comes out running, she can close the gap - if she plays her cards right, and if the party gets behind her. 
 
She needs to be tough on Trump and Vance's reproductive rights beliefs (probably the biggest wedge issue right now), and imo pick a VP that comes from a swing state (either Whitmer or Shapiro - Beshear is great, but he's not gonna make a difference in key areas of the Electoral College, he appeals to a base that is already voting blue).

As stated in our rules, LanaBoards will not tolerate any posts that are meant to be purposely inflammatory (flaimbaiting to intentionally start an argument) rude, hateful, insulting, or otherwise crossing a line, and members violating this rule will be warned and given restrictions at our discretion. This is something the moderator team is going to be taking very seriously as it is our mission to have LanaBoards be a safe and welcoming space for all.
Something we've especially been noticing a rise in is personal attacks towards other members and people including other artists, which is something we won't tolerate. Let this serve as a reminder that behind the usernames and profile pictures, we are all real people with real feelings. There's no need to make things personal. Please be mindful and respectful of this when communicating with other members. Again, we do welcome varying opinions and healthy, constructive debates, but please keep these respectful.
