If you hate her now because its become a trend (but during NFR you bowed down to her) then you're as small minded as it gets and it's clear that you do not think for yourself, you only take what other people say and make it your opinion.
If you're a critic and you focus on the artist and not the music, get a new job lol

What amuses and triggers me at the same time is people using the word "whisper" for singing, it makes no sense. You can sing with a soft voice, you can sing quietly, you can sing with a very breathy tone, but you cannot whisper and sing at the same time. Whispers are whispers, and I wish people would stop making the confusing between whispering and using a very delicate way of singing. Like it or not, but singing like Lana does in White Dress or at the end of BB is insanely difficult, it requires so much control and this way of singing should be praised if anything. It’s understandable why some people don’t like it, but it’s probably one of the most difficult ways of singing and it’s a stylistic choice that should never be criticised.

The David Lynch reference gave me goosebumps. Which are the most Lynchian songs on the album?

Yeah, I think they meant something along the lines of fragility or femininity and it got lost in translation

Lol right  I'm hoping the nuance on what they're saying got lost in google translation or is further elaborated on later in the review, because otherwise they call the album a masterpiece and reference David Lynch which are both very good things

my guess is it’s something with the translation lol, they probably meant like effeminate or something?

    Die Presse: https://www.diepresse.com/6050543/lana-del-rey-lasziv-und-doch-melancholisch

I don't speak German and it's behind a pay wall, but what I got from Google Translate:

Lana Del Rey: Lascivious and yet melancholy

With “Blue Banisters” the singer delivers her second masterpiece this year. A few weeks before the release of “Blue Banisters”, Lana Del Rey switched off her social media channels. She has obviously had enough of the abuse that her consistently anti-feminist attitude has provoked in our time, in which a mass neurosis called "wokeness" is rampant. Del Rey has a very differentiated image of men. She stays true to her preferred topics. And does it in a narrative style that is reminiscent of the cinematic language of David Lynch.

I just know that Alexis Mysogynytridis guy from The Flopardian is preparing his 3/5 stars rating for BB without even listening to a single song

Agreed. It's likely the video for IYLDWM is what she shot with Father John Misty.

the cocc reviews focused much more in the controversies than the music, i guess is going to be the same for blue banisters but instead they're directly judging her  and things like leaving sm, putting leaked and old music on the album, etc, etc. god forbid they even hear about yt rips.

I hate how that review starts off with, “One could argue that one Lana Del Rey album a year is enough. But here we are…” That is so tactless. They make it seem as if the record was like, thrust upon them, or something. No one is forcing you to listen if you don’t want to. So rude!

Grittier??? Why is that reviewer using a word that describes 90s dance music. MY Blue BANISTERS?

Does she really feel (...) that a song such as Dealer (...) is worthy of a chapter in her life story?
