Woolridge is a strange name 

The more they talk about her the better, let Lana be a part of their mind, haunting them like she is haunted by K every time she closes her eyes (cuz you know, it's like a dark paradise :come2: )

I think it's pretty cool that she is on the fourth place ! Look at the other artists: Rihanna, Taylor, Beyoncé and Selena are all huge stars in the USA !
 
I even voted for Lana and wrote her name in the special field 

I hate to break it to you, but Beyonce lived in 2013, and also wore things and went places with cameras! I know.. it must be really hard to understand.

although i think it would be interesting if we had a thread discussing lana's (current and continual) influences on the music industry. i read in an article somewhere about how the current state of pop has become more melancholic, or "inward" and immediately thought of her potential (unspoken) impact 
 
also, as a bit of an aside, is just me or do people use the word sonic like all the fucking time these days? outside of this forum, and without irony! seems like its become such a blog-worthy adjective in the recent year or so. i swear before 2011 i never saw that word being used unless it was followed by 'the hedgehog'

PARTITION

Since I can't find any Lana plagiarism in either of these videos, I'm just gonna go ahead and assume they must be borrowed from the "Dark Paradise" and "Cola" videos that never materialized. @@Ultraviolence Watch these. One of them may be the closest thing you'll ever get to your precious "Cola" video.
 
 
HEAVEN
Here we have the biggest plot heist since Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds ripped off Gremlins. In "Heaven", Beyoncé portrays a woman mourning her deceased female bff in a series of flashbacks. Sound familiar? Of course it does. It's the plot of Lana's "Summertime Sadness" video. Not content to copycat one Lana video, "Heaven" filches from a few. A shot in a church mirrors the chapel in "Born to Die":

 
In a flashback, Beyoncé's girlfriend sprays alcohol at a campfire party echoing scenes in "Ride":

Last but not least, the video for "Grown Woman" consists of home footage of Beyoncé's childhood performances, a clear homage to Lana's DIY videos.
 
 
 

Not to mention she straight up sang "National Anthem" in front of a whole nation without ever crediting the real artist. I mean look at the dates:
