The songs both sound very different to each other with V1 sounding noticeably more jazz-inspired. To start with things they have in common, they both have 87 as the BPM (beats per minute).

up until the final 'come when you call me' the lyrics are the same, but then the lyrics vary after that point. The lyrics for v2 don't seem to be online, but you can read my thread with what I guessed the lyrics are (I still need help though), but v2 has more lyrics.
 
V2 also has more of a 'motel' inspired theme and has more percussion and more of an electronic feel.
