I hope all you 2099 haters aren’t Shake It stans…. Because that song sounds like 4 different artists tried to recreate I Got It and made something that’s not only inferior but not catchy at all.
I can barely call it a Charli song because her only contribution is a spoken word chorus that barely holds the song together and devalues the verses even more

Thinking about Blame It On Your Love and I honestly think the addition of Lizzo’s awful verses and ad libs are why I hate the song so much.

To me 2099 isn’t a song that you think too hard about. I see both the lyrics and production as ear candy that’s just meant to be a flex vibe and/or make you feel like a bad bitch.
