    i wish she could just be like "i don't know" when asked questions about the album instead of being weird and evasive but she has to keep up her pity party ... i've said before and i will say again she's clearly got a narcissistic victim complex which is not to say she's all to blame for any alleged mistreatment from capitol but good god would a modicum of honesty and accountability be a breath of fresh air

    yet in another interview:
     
    Ferreira is frustratingly evasive — perhaps because she is not clear herself — whether any of the songs she recorded for Masochism can be used on a future record (she owns the publishing rights but would probably need to re-record them herself “and that takes the kind of money only labels have”). Unless she’s playing possum, there at the moment seems no grand plan to cut any full album, just perhaps to keep at the same occasional song-every-few-years pace she’s been on.

    Wasn't there also three 3-year time gap between Downhill Lullaby and Don't Forget? #Descending2028
    But I'm actually scared now. Time really Flies… 2022 still feels like yesterday for me. 

    Things actually felt alive during the Don't Forget era (?) with her dropping a long-awaited single and all those songs leaking [even grails like Cobra— well, the demo, but still COBRAAAAAA, Descending, Kiss & Tell, The Woods, Gloves/I Want Blood… etc. actually crazy to think about omg] but as usual, things fizzled out and didn't lead to any album

    I won't, and I do.

    There's a great, great amount of people out there - good people, talented people, smart people - who are thirsting for the spotlight, dying for recognition, and trying their hardest to get a single moment of attention, and being sidelined. It's frustrating, if not infuriating, to watch someone manage to get all that, and then just....squander it, throw tantrums, refuse to play "the game", tell lies, put their ego on high, and somehow still expect to still be treated like they're on boss - people can see that. It's not really fun to watch. It's going to turn some people off, and in cases where people were really rooting, hard, for someone to shine and instead they blow it up and in several places it all looks self inflicted? Some people are gonna swing the pendulum the other way and ride the bitter train all the way down into the mud when they see that happening.

    That kind of behavior is a way to gas off the feelings of frustration and loss. Is it the best or nicest? Probably not. But fans who really took an artists work to heart, and gave it space in their lives; fans who really identified with it deeply, only to see that work end up standing neglected as a one off, or who see the artist as ultimately tarnishing their legacy - there's absolutely some emotions in that, and sometimes it's going to go the shitty way, and people are going to take that and run with it.

    They’re right though. 
     
    How many times are we going to get excited for soundtrack songs and magazine interviews parroting the same lame and tired nonsense about why she can’t ever bring any of her material to life?
     
    I won’t be moving unless something is sitting in my library. Let’s see what she can accomplish now that she’s “free”. It’s not looking good because she’s already complaining about a “budget” and not being able to get back one of the 10 songs she’s worked on the last 10 years back from Capitol. Girl, give that material up. We’ve heard it and Masochism has been long dead ATP. Better to start completely fresh instead of trying to rehash a concept from last decade but this is Sky Ferreira we’re talking about so logic and reason goes out the window.
     
    Enjoy gagging over tired Polaroid shots and whiny interviews.
