Where is the source of recent recordings of her AKA songs? Just curious.

I can't say I'm surprised this single went nowhere, considering it's limited released and lack of accompanying video...or any promo at all, really.

Of course it's not selling very well, there seems to be little to no promotion except a few radio press releases. No video, no live performances, not even a mention on her FB/Twitter.

Her performances confuse me greatly on so many levels as a fan.

There's a thread for general questions that don't merit a discussion, but the Bel-Air video is, as you said, deleted from YouTube. Which was the original site. I'm sure somebody may have saved it. What film and trailer are you speaking of? Gatsby? There's not yet a trailer with Lana's music as far as I know. Tropico is some kind of short film or something that Lana occasionally talks about with not much further detail.

I checked a list of unreleased songs I have from LDR.FM and a list from another source and it was on neither. Edit: Nor was it listed in this thread, which mentions the alternate Motel 6. Although, I believe I read that there is actually another a capella of Motel 6, which may be what is being referred to, but I can not confirm that.

I love the album version. I think the production and tempo change is perfect for the song. It would be perfect if it had the prechoruses though!

I was thinking the exact same thing about rerecording. And yes, it is obviously different from the second demo, much like SS was. I don't think it's really as bad of a choice as some of you are making it out to be. It's similar to SS and that did well as a Germany exclusive, so this is not surprising. I'm just excited to have a radio mix, another official single, and probably some lackluster remixes that I'll have in my iTunes anyway. Interscope should be releasing b-side tracks on singles instead of commissioning randoms to change her pitch and add a dance beat.

Was MDM on iTunes? I never heard of it. As far as I know Off To The Races, Carmen, and Blue Velvet are her only digital promo singles. Burning Desire never got a release as a single, did it? Or was it only iTunes exclusive so far? After hearing the radio edit, I have to say it's great. Definitely on par with the Summertime Sadness radio mix and I enjoy it more than the album version of DP.

WOW! I didn't expect another BTD song to be released since Paradise came out, but it makes sense since BTD is only a year old. Wonderful news.

As do I. I don't know if I love this song in spite of the fact that it's basically a trash can of previously used lyrics or because of it.

Is this is an official remix? Or does the person have the original song/acapella? Didn't she just sing a short portion of this on a radio station? Is that what's featured in this? -_- And as for PopHatesFags, they also are the source of the rumour about Justin Parker producing Serial Killer, which is false (confirmed by Madrigal). As for their Paradise lie, I think they had the song and were hoping they had something exclusive (remember, this was before the tracklisting was announced) and just took a shot posting that it was a part of the album.

I guess I could see it going either way. On one hand, they bought the rights to the songs and obviously they could stand to make some sort of profit off of it. Not to mention it hasn't been in print....ever (except for a few copies David Kahne has, apparently) and was online for a period of time. But even now, that may be negated since the album has been public since her SNL performace. Insterscope put a lot of effort into making sure mentions of the album were removed from links from obscure blogs and other mentions of the article, so it's sort of a toss-up. For all we know, it may have been scrapped or just a comment in passing. It seems she metioned it once and never again. Either way for us, it's a win-win. If it's a re-release we'll get a physical and HQ AKA album and if she just retools the songs for another album in the future, well, take it or leave it like you all did with Paradise Yayo because the original versions will always exist Maybe I'm just nitpicking, but I think a lot of us agree that LIZZY GRANT aka LANA DEL RAY is a horrible title. Besides the obvious that she has changed her name from both of those and it wouldn't really make sense to try and sell a Lana Del Rey CD with two names she has since changed. But oy, I'm with Monicker that the album was just titled "Lana Del Ray".
