  2. I've never heard that AKA songs were considered for BTD. Little Girls/PMIAM seems like a particularly odd choice. This might be the most eclectic collection of songs I've seen yet... (yeah, good luck making that flow) DICWB, the one you chose, is considered the final version; the one in which she sings higher is often called "Driving in Cars (demo)." I like the title "Dark Star."

  4. But what makes a person say to themselves something like, "I was born to be the other woman?" I think maybe people saying some not-so-helpful things, people close to them, can be a part of influencing them to give up in some way Just musing. I agree, everyone has their own stuff going on.

  7. Well, he's absolutely right that we need to be free to talk about pedophilia as abuse. And free to use pop culture, e.g. songs by Lana Del Rey, as a jumping-off point for that. So kudos to him for trying to make that point. But if he really wanted to dialogue about it, and really wanted to dialogue about it on Twitter he could have at least worded it something like "seems pro-pedophilia" or "is anyone else getting a pro-pedophilia vibe?" or pretty much anything besides a bold, flat-out accusation. I'm thinking the six-hour retweet was a middle finger to ridiculousness. But he comes across to me as seeking to draw attention to a legitimate issue. I wonder whether he's ever heard "Butterflies Pt. 2." For all its pop appeal, that song is simply heartbreaking. I wish, in this information age, that more secondary schools would offer a class specifically in Communication Ethics.
  8. Wow, you're right, it IS hard to find the right flow with these songs. Not just because they span genres. There's also many, many reasons why people break up. And different stages of breaking up. Well, this is what I came up with... hope someone enjoys it finds it cathartic! How Do You Like Me Now? A Star for Nick Noir Get Drunk Kinda Outta Luck Junky Pride End of the World (live) Pawn Shop Blues Goodbye Kiss Butterflies Kill Kill Backfire The Man I Love Jealous Girl Break My Fall American Dream (Damn You) She's Not Me Afraid Radio (demo) outro: She Walks Into Mine
  9. I don't really know what to say. This reminds me so much of the times I seriously piss people off and I have no idea why. But yeah, maybe I'm just projecting and this isn't about me and I should just keep my mouth shut and listen and learn for awhile.
  10. So, a different person made the first playlist, or it's just a previous version of it?
  11. Hmmm... this is a great idea. You mean Vol IV? SoS and DD would both go great there. But yeah, leave LoD where it is You did that one? Cool, I've seen the cover art for that pop up on my Google images searches. Nice work!
  12. I have it as "(Take Me to) Paris" ...I have even been known to name a file "Paris (Take Me to)" ...but I don't know how it's registered.

    Summer Of Sam

I was just listening on my headphones and I heard as clear as day: "No everyone knows all my people" Would that make any sense here? (Maybe to contradict "predictable"? No, it's just that everyone knows her people?) Otherwise, "pitbull" seems like the best guess so far. Also, I still think it's "I'm diggable." Because I don't hear a "t" in the middle of the word, and because "indictable" is pronounced, "in-DITE-able." (But hey, poetic license is still a possibility...)
  14. The White Stripes' "Elephant" was supposed to be such a masterpiece, but I fell in love with: White Blood Cells
  15. Million Dollar Man tbh. Radio if not for the f-bombs. (But without the f-bombs, it wouldn't be Radio :/ ) I love OTTR, but I think it makes people WONDER too much to really catch on. Serial Killer and Kinda Outta Luck would have made it. (Whichever was released first. Kind of off-putting as a pair though.) And it really seems like Dum Dum could have been a hit as well, but the reception among the fanbase has been mixed, so I don't know.
  16. I adore the album version. I get so excited when I hear the intro.

  18. TBH I don't think Lana can really do much to talk up her unreleased material and previous albums right now, in light of her contract with Interscope. There's probably something to prevent her from competing with herself in ways that don't benefit her label.
  19. Apparently trendiness is sexy I approve Mila Kunis at #1 though.
