The thing is: people who listen to Lana Del Rey like to give off a cool image, especially people who are not really her fans but "pretend" to like her music to come off as a hipster, indie, cool kind of person. It's the truth, the majority of people who listen to her are like that and if you don't believe me just see a picture of the crowd at her concerts. And now Lana is... just not cool. She's not that bad girl who parties at Chateu Mormont with tons of older men, goes to fashion shows wearing all leather and sings about being in the land of gods and monsters. Right now she's just a white female who goes to the church, parties with her other white friends, drinks green tea and sings about going to the beach. She's just bland.
 
Compare her to Britney Spears, for example: on instagram, Britney posts videos of her working out, pictures of her children's doodles, doodles SHE paints herself and those motivation images grannys find on google. But her audience knows she's like that and her audience kinda connects with her that way. Lana, on the other hand, appeals to a very hip cool young crowd and recently she's just not it. If "real" fans are already dropping her imagine how casual fans must feel lol.

What “brand”? She doesn’t have a brand at present and hasn’t for years. She’s just sort of there, an uneasy public figure who often looks awkward in the spotlight.

Actually we'll look better cause look at Gaga for example, she looks way better when her fillers are dissolving vs. when she's freshly filled. That one phase when she was doing all those tributes was awful... Idk I don't like the filler-look it makes most people look wrinkle-free but still older and bloated...

Money has very little to do with it. Look at Kris Jenner vs Khloe, who is starting to look older than her. Compare Kourtney and Kylie. There's Madonna and Donatella, but there's also JLo and Paris Hilton. If you do the right things, go to the right people, and if YOU are the right person (if you're reasonable, clear-headed and responsible) you won't end up looking deformed.

She now looks more like LDR’s cousin or half-sister. I barely recognize her; the change is significant. She may be completely to blame, regardless of who is doing the actual work. For me, she looks so much better with a gaunt face, which shows off her cheekbones, rather than with large round cheeks.

There's a recent selfie that was leaked and she looks a little different to her Lizzy days IMO. This one. She's been subtly getting work done overtime.(or she was maybe younger?) But she definitely had the 'Britney' look. Lana's old features really remind me of her. Those days..the Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera days...how times have changed.
 
I'd say through 2012 to 2014, even though 2012 was a little rough, she had some damn good looks.(and one critic said people hated Lana just because she was beautiful so there's that) I noticed plastic surgery does this thing where it makes you incredibly beautiful for a few years and then your face goes to shit. It happened to Megan Fox too. Peak Megan Fox was out of this world and then her face began looking wonky.
 
and tbh I wouldn't be surprised if Lana's looks are affecting why she's so scarce now. Your face being fucked up can traumatize you and even the smallest changes can be devastating. Especially if you looked as good as Lana did and your career revolves around your public image. :/

I think she looked beautiful, especially by 00s standards. Lips just weren't a big deal back then. You just had to be a tall skinny blonde, and she was. I think her best look was 2014 though. God, what a year for Lana's face, hair and career
