Yeah not taking the tweet as fact… Wasn’t there a rumour about a new ASAP collab? Has it been debunked?

I don’t know how I feel about a snippet if nothing is coming soon. I like teasing when it’s close, not a year before release.

From what I gather, he talks to people that know a lot.

I must say that I am not that much in a hurry at the moment: a lot of interesting music is out at the moment or is about to be released. But mostly, nothing has been teased other than the DNC acronym. As long as there’s no snippet or lyrics teased by insiders, I can wait considering she released WCE and the last two albums last year.

We wait for Buddy’s Rendezvous

I guess mine would be as followed, although the middle tier changes all the time, depending how I click with the songs. 1. Norman Fucking Rockwell! 2. Honeymoon - Ultraviolence 3. Blue Banisters 4. Born to Die - Paradise 5. Lust for Life - Chemtrails Over the Country Club: i have the same issues with both: some songs on them are among her best but both have songs I don’t connect much with (although I find the LFL songs easier to listen to in background). LFL is too eclectic in a way, but Chemtrails is a bit one-note.

I Love the song, but it took me a whole 24 hours for it to click. And still to this day, I don’t fully understand why they hired that director, which gave us her best MV, for that quiet song… I was expecting something so much more psychedelic / trippy in sound.

Del Norte County makes a lot of sense. One I thought of recently: Doing Nothing Carelessly (not sure about the C-word though). Doing nothing would be a good référence to the greatest and she seems in that mindset.. Diamonds Never Crack floated around for some time also… Wasn’t it hinted in the IG story of her stylist (or whoever posted that jacket in their stories)?

Well, there are also the claims of insiders - real and maybe not so real, that should be put into the « rumours » category: - BoZ teased WCE in December and has heard at least some parts of Buddy’s Rendezvous. He didn’t spill much else. - Eclipse heard something that explores a new sound and maybe could begin a new trilogy of albums. What did he hear exactly? I doubt it’s WCE only that could lead to these claims. - our own fl0r1dak1los teased lyrics on his Twitter that could be Loved You Then and Now. Eclipse debunked those lyrics, but… - this account https://twitter.com/bylicaa?s=21 says they heard five songs that could end up on the next album and that they are very beautiful, one sounding like If You Lié Down With Me. He was right about WCE and has also teased lyrics that could be from LYTAN. He could be trolling us though. - our own lustforlife says the album is nowhere near done, that a Sept-October release could be a possibility. He was right about WCE, but has been awfully wrong about many song descriptions from BB. We know that he talks to guys that do have infos though. - and in the « most probably nothing at all » category: and I think this is it.

When she received her award in December, she was wearing a windbreaker with a logo made of the letters DNC with a wave behind them. The guy that runs the LDRVillage said it probably will end up on some merch in the near future and that it something with to do with a future project. here’s a pic of the jacket :

« no more piano flops » is the new « Ditch Jack » although I usually end up loving her piano songs, I hope she switches things up a bit for LDR9 into something less quiet.

My dream album from her would be called « The Cult of Lana Del Rey ». This time, she wouldn’t be a follower but the leader and she would embrace the cult leader type of figure. Plus it is super fitting for this fan base. Lyrics would be very cynical like UV. It would have summer trippy vibes like Venice Bitch and some « return to nature » vibes like this song : since she is a cult leader, there would be a couple of dark witchy songs as well…

It sounds like they were paraphrasing Eclipse or someone else. Which brings us to the real question: what did these insiders listen to? WCE only or something else?

THAT project is buried, at least in my mind. No way she would put out an « incohesive » album made of outtakes (even if it’s just in her mind) and, also, no way she has the masters to them if BB gave us three YouTube rips

Maybe Jack is producing the country album (at least in parts)… After all, he did produce BUS and they wrote Hey Blue Baby and Stupid for Being So Happy together, so country is not that far fetched for him. And didn’t he produce the last Dixie Chicks album?

I think I might be one of the few that don’t really care for a tour I get why you all want it, and the NFR pre-release era it was the ONLY source of information about the release of that damn album, but I prefer new music over anything else because this is the part of her art that accompanies me every day. Plus I always see touring as an « obstacle » to completing an album (I know it’s not totally true, but still)

At this point, the real question is: which one of her numerous projects will we hear first? The cover album? The Nikki collabs? Covers and country songs together like she considered in her livestream? New stuff with the DNC song?

I wish we knew which unreleased songs she hates and that she’ll never put on any record so they can be leaked without spoiling any future album (seriously, Living Legend and Cherry Blossom leaking a year before we knew they’d end up on BB is a bit of a shame. At least Thunder got a new production)

totally agree with all of you that she should take time as much as she needs for the next album. Ever since Norman, all the projects she put out were outstanding (I’m glad she put out BB quickly after Chemtrails. Chemtrails is a better album when you tag BB right next to it). WCE is gorgeous and Buddy’s Rendezvous seems very beautiful as well. We’ve been fed since last year.

My bets are on her FJM cover to leak either in late February or early March… As for LDR9, it could take a while (End of spring? June?) before a single, I’m afraid. But we never know with her: some unexpected collab might pop up at some point this year!?!

The new Bastille album is pretty solid!!!
