St.Vincent is releasing her Jack single from her new album on March 5. Since I’m desperate and want to see things that aren’t necessarily there, it’s IMPOSSiBLE (cough cough) that Lana will release WD on March 5, therefore we’re definitely getting it next Friday.

I really don’t get the Jack hate here. True, many of his tracks are piano-based, and he is not as good with piano melodies as Rick, but his vocal arrangements and production overall make up for it. Besides, I never heard anyone complain that Fine China is piano-driven... (if she chooses to release anything country-ish or whatever her definition of it might be, she should include Fine China; the lyrics are her most « country / conservative / heartbreaking » ever and would fit that aesthetics).

For all of y’all that want the winter experience of COCC, move to Canada : on March 19, it won’t be spring yet haha! In March, we do begin to have some bursts of spring, but a couple of snowstorms are always around the corner. like many already said, COCC really doesn’t feel like a summer album. It really is a late fall or winter album. The title track gives me « noon or sunset of a still and unexpected warm day » vibes. LMLYLAW reminds me of fall sunsets or sunrise, with its guitar after the chorus. TJF is a sexy evening song when it’s dark outside but you want someone to have sex with. March 19 is a good choice for this album I guess. Summer would have been weird for its release.

It was revealed through a « find a tune » site (I forgot the name) and it’s a credible one. They got their info through iTunes. The date has now been changed when we found out hahaha! édit: the date wasn’t changed after all its the same site that revealed fuck it and the greatest were supposed to be released two weeks before. Of course, the date could change if her team decided to do so..

It’s always a possibility... BUT to have iTunes reveal the Feb 26 date when the album release is set, the cover and tracklist are revealed, plus it’s three weeks before the album, plus she posted a picture and some lyrics... The odds are in our favour.

Eclipse is one of the few that heard the album in September. Girls and gays aren’t realizing that if 12 songs were mastered in September, excluding Yosemite and WHF, that means there are two outtakes to Chemtrails (so Dealer and?!???)

For FIILY, the most plausible lyric is « Jazz is in my veins ». On the non-single version of the song, which is more jazzy, production is a bit more minimal and we can decipher the lyric better.

I don’t remember either if they said anything... They talked about LMLYLAW... but not the rest, I think? Only Eclipse seems to have talked about White Dress... But I could be wrong though.

Since she described it as the sister track to TNBAR, I think Yosemite will have a lot of acoustic guitar as its base . More so than TNC.

From Lana. She said she puts out an album when she has four songs (not sure of the number though) that could potentially lead the direction of the next album. But with Chemtrails, she doesn’t seem to have *that magic number of* tracks under her belt to rely upon.

I don’t know what to think anymore about Yosemite. Some claimed they have heard it, others said it would never leak and that nobody heard it and that it was better protected than Fort Knox...
