I guess it really depends. Just like you, I need some time between men to get back on my feet and find myself... except for my last BF, which I met at the end of my relationship with my ex, and we pursued things right after my breakup. When it feels right, it feels right. With Lana, well it’s complicated because we are on the outside. How many time was there between the two of her men? Only God knows. There was almost no time between Chase and Sean, but she probably didn’t get back with Sean this summer like we all feared, I guess. I keep remembering that Life and Style interview with an anonymous insider (which happened at the top of the year), who said she was falling in love easily... I guess it’s true. on topic: in which part of California is there no epidemic that none of them are wearing masks?!? No wonder that everywhere in the world, it’s the 20-40 yo group that has now the highest infection rate.

1- she looks hot AF 2- this is the same woman driving and supposedly promoting an album. We should keep that in mind for future references. 3- I’m getting major « Crazy Lana » vibes off this era.

50-50, only because she wanted a surprise release / minimal era. In a normal rollout: no way we were gonna get a complete album without a lead, a cover + tracklist reveal and preorder. But in these peculiar times, it’s possible we’ll get the album digitally this week and physical copies later on. If it’s not coming Sept 5, I don’t think it will drag on for many months; maybe October or November tops.

Her sense of priorities is questionable lol. She looks gorgeous AF though. love that poem, I thought it was the best audio out of all the bunch we had heard when she first posted it, but after having heard all of Violet, I’m glad I don’t find it as « awesome » as the first time, so I won’t be anxiously waiting at the edge of my chair for the second book. (To be clear, I love her poetry, love the audiobooks and love that Behind the Iron Gates seems to be darker than Violet, but I can’t take to be anxiously waiting for her every move for yet another project. I wasn’t anticipating Violet that much and it’s probably why the waiting didn’t seem that intense, as opposed to waiting for Norman).

We don’t have confirmation that Behind the Iron Gates will be audio as well... but leather patent having an « official audio » makes me think so?!? Unless that poem is the exception and is some sort of interlude on Chemtrails (which I doubt).

Some Insta account reposted last weekend the first snippet she shared of Hope, when it was still called Sylvia. Maybe it’s the LQ, but I don’t hear the piano at all. Her vocals alone on that track are almost hunting.

I think many love the big FU she was giving her ex, which was good. But it’s true that the new chorus really is breezy summery.

100% agree. I love that she now owns that she was also obsessed with writing that album and not just him. Ok, the line “there’s something I never knew I wanted and I want it” is far from perfect, but the new chorus now refers to Heroin, which I love. And anyways, my favorite parts of BAR always were the verses and the bridge, which she kept intact. I always thought the old chorus was a bit meh and a bit contradictory to the bridge.

Just a little caption would have gone a long way, that’s all I’m saying. Especially since she posts mostly about her friends and that picture could have been of one of her friends. Mental health is a concerning issue nowadays, and she is not insensitive on that matter, far from it.

Ok what a mediocre Stan I am: I didn’t know BTD’s cover was shot on the first MV of Blue Jeans (didn’t even know there were two versions of that video- the homemade is better IMO). I now get why Paradise’s cover was a photo taken on the second Blue Jeans’ video.

I don’t think the shoot will be for the album cover. Music video or magazine cover. It’s not impossible it could be for the album cover, but it would have to be done very quickly, and physical copies would likely be delayed, like in Violet’s case.

The lyrics are corny AF. Dan Heath’s production saves it for me.

They’re braver than me! Pretty much all year-rond, flannel keeps warm and all but in the summer, I sweat like a pig in it.
