Maybe that there's a lot of hope in some of the songs? It was to be expected, if she included Yosemite, which was too happy for LFL. Not All Who Wander Are Lost, Dance Til We Die, Wild at Heart all seem to be about embracing who you are. The title track and LMLYLAW don't have the dark undertones of so many of her past songs.

So, Chemtrails is a « sunnier » album? That would explain why Dealer was left on the cutting room floor still excited to hear it though

No these are two separate songs. she covered Eat For Free on her Midwest NFr tour with Hailey. Lana had teased the cover before her show on her Insta (she was singing the song on her bed and it was a perfect song for her). I’d fucking love that! That would mean we would get a Wicked Game duet! Or a Joan Baez one!

Blue Jeans is the first Lana song that caught my heart. I wasn’t a huge fan of BTD at first (some songs struck more than others like the title track, OTTR, Dark Paradise, Diet Mountain Dew, Without You), but after watching the MV, I fell in love with National Anthem and went back to the whole album. I loved the contrast of the strings with the beats, the 60s Americana infusion in the present, the naive idealism of loving someone bad for you. Though it’s not my fave from her, it is so iconic and I return to it a couple of times per year, and I still love the songs and the genius lyrics (the chorus of This Is What Makes Us Girls is brutally honest).

No wonder the album got delayed: there are so many damn variations with the vinyls And giving the fact that all the coloured vinyls I bought sounded cheaper than regular black ones, I really hate the delay because of those.
