Do you think Freak and Venice Bitch are connected?...
Freak "That's the way I feel for you"
VB "Life's dream I'm sweet for you"
Freak "That's the way I feel for you, If time stood still, I'd take this moment, Make it last forever"
VB "Fear fun, fear love, Fresh out of fucks, forever, Tryin' to be stronger for you"
Freak "Leather black and eyes of blue"
VB "I dream in jeans and leather"
Freak "Oooh, you're cold as ice, baby"
VB "Ice cream, ice queen"
Freak "Flames so hot that they turn blue"
VB "You're in the yard, I light the fire"
Freak "Palms reflecting in your eyes, like an endless summer"
VB "And as the summer fades away"
Freak "Kiss while we do it"
VB "Oh god, miss you on my lips"
Freak "Talk 'til we both turn blue"
VB "Paint me happy in blue"
Freak "Baby, if you wanna leave, Come to California"
VB "It's me, your little Venice bitch, On the stoop with the neighborhood kids, Callin' out, bang bang, kiss kiss" "You should probably come over"
Feak "Be a freak like me, too, Screw your anonymity, Loving me is all you need to feel, Like I do"
VB "You write, I tour, we make it work, You're beautiful and I'm insane, We're American-made"
Freak "We could slow dance to rock music"
VB" My baby, Crimson and Clover" (A kind of slow dance rock song which plays out the rest of the song)
I think to much about the meaning of her songs
Both songs have a pretty similar theme though of her telling a guy to come to California/back to his "Venice Bitch", she still loves him and in Freak she was saying ieven though he is cold and blue he's nice when he's good and she didn't want him to leave and now she's saying she's stronger for him and they are older now so it'll work.

I added and changed a little...
Fear fun, fear love
Fresh out of fucks forever
Trying to be stronger for you
Ice cream, ice queen
I dream in jeans and leather
Life’s dream, I’m sweet for you
Oh god, I miss you on my lips
It’s me your little Venice bitch
On the stoop with the neighborhood kids
Calling out, “Bang, bang, kiss, kiss”
You’re in the yard, I light the fire
And as summer fades away
Nothing cold can stay
You write, I tour, we make it work
You’re beautiful and I’m in insane
We’re American made
Give me Hallmark
One dream, one life, one lover
Paint me happy in blue
Norman Rockwell
No hype under our covers
It’s just me and you
Oh god, miss you on my lips
It’s me your little Venice bitch
On the stoop with the neighborhood kids
Calling out, “Bang, bang, kiss, kiss”
You’re in the yard, I light the fire
And as the summer fades away
Nothing cold can stay
You write, I tour, we make it work
You’re beautiful and I’m insane
We’re American made
Signing off, “Bang, bang, kiss, kiss”
Signing off, “Bang, bang, kiss, kiss”
Oh god, want you on my lips (I do, I do)
It’s me, your little Venice bitch
On the stoop with the neighborhood kids
Signing off, “Bang, bang, kiss, kiss”
Signing off, “Bang, bang, kiss, kiss”
You’re in the paper back in town now
You’re should probably come over
We’ll be hangin around now
You should come-a, come over
Oh god, I love him on my lips
It’s me, your little Venice bitch
Touch me with your fingertips
It’s me, your little Venice bitch
Out back in the garden
We’re getting high now
Because we’re older
Me, myself I like diamonds
My baby, crimson and clover
(La-la-la-la-la-la beautiful, beautiful, beautiful)
(La-la-la-la-la-la beautiful, beautiful, beautiful)
(La-la-la-la-la-la beautiful, beautiful, beautiful)
(Woah, woah, woah, whatever)
(Everything, forever)
(Woah, woah, woah, woah whatever)
(Everything forever)
(Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh)
(Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh)
(Ahh, yeah)
(Ahh, ahh)
(Ahh, yeah)
(Ahh, ahh)
(Ooh, beautiful)
(La-la-la-la-la-la beautiful, beautiful, beautiful)
(La-la-la-la-la-la beautiful, beautiful, beautiful)
(La-la-la-la-la-la beautiful, beautiful, beautiful)
Out back in the garden
We’re getting high now
Because we’re older
Me, myself I like diamonds
My baby, crimson and clover
Crimson and clover, honey
Crimson and clover, honey
Crimson and clover, honey
Crimson and clover, honey
Crimson and clover, honey
Crimson and clover, honey
Over and over, honey
Over and over, honey
Over and over, honey
Over and over, honey
Over and over
If you weren’t mine, I’d be
Jealous of your love
If you weren’t mine, I’d be
Jealous of your love
If you weren’t mine, I’d be
Jealous of your love
If you weren’t mine, I’d be
Jealous of your love
If you weren’t mine, I’d be
Jealous of your love

To me it sounds like her old songs from the "Young Like Me" EP.

Theres a lot of really amazing long songs, one of the best is the first ever live performance of Prince doing Purple Rain which was the version that was recorded and put on the album although I think they cut it down from initially like 13 minutes to about 8 minutes. He improvised a lot of the song on the spot and it's just exceptional from start to finish.

Lynynrd Skynyrd are really good also, although mostly known for "Sweet Home Alabama" their songs Tuesdays Gone, Free Bird and Simple Man are masterpieces and the live versions if done back to back would probably last 30 minutes just for 3 songs.
A couple of my other favourites are "I Am The Resurrection" by the Stone Roses - the album version is about 8 minutes, "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton and "Parisienne Walkways" by Gary Moore the live versions of them both which are about 9 minutes long.

I wonder how many songs she makes or even comes up with but maybe only records little demos in an average month, she seems to constantly be working or trying to come up with new music and writing so I could definitely see 2/3 songs she hasn't even thought about yet making it.

knowing Lana — probably. Most of her songs gravitate towards the same experiences or people. Some of the lyrics you used as examples look as if they could be connected somehow. But perhaps they're coincidences or recurrent situations she might like?

They probably love her, I bet they have dozens of artists who cause them nothing but problems who they have to push to create music and always have to give money or who are always asking for money and who cause all kind of controvesy and problems. Lana is pretty smart, usually drama free apart from small things and she works on new music constantly probably even on her own with her own money. Then as you said her music sells pretty well(worldwide) and she has no problem selling tickets and is always one of the top people at festivals. You couldn't possibly want a better artist to work with.

With all the flak you’ve received over the years, particularly after Born to Die, some people would have thrown in the towel. But you doubled down and made an even more fucked up, almost hyper-Lana record with Ultraviolence.
I so double downed. It made me question myself—I didn’t know if it was always going to be that way. You can’t put out records if 90 percent of the reviews in places like the Times are going to be negative. That would be crazy. It would have made sense to step all the way back, but I was like, Let me put out three more records and see if I can just stand in the eye of the storm. Not shift too much. Let me just take some of the production off so you can hear things a little bit better; I thought people were maybe getting distracted. I did the same thing with Honeymoon. Everyone around here heard it and was like, “It’s a cool record, but you know it’s not going to be on the radio, right?” And I was like, “Yeah. I told Jimmy Iovine when I signed, ‘If you want to sign me, this is all it’s ever going to be.’” I was just so committed to making music because I believe in what I do. All I had to do was not quit.

This is absolutely true...albeit we don't see LfL as a huge record, it was insanely big for her career in terms of the acclaim it got- especially for being in her 30s (an agist curse for musicians in the modern age it seems) AND it being ~7yrs into her career. Like fuck not even BtD got a grammy nomination...but LfL did.
It even gave her another 100mil video which i don't think there's been one since pre-UV? I could be wrong but to try and say things that infer Lana hasn't done anything is so fucking stupid and ignorant 100mil view video, headlining festivals, plethora of magazine shoots, she basically shut down Brazil by herself alone, iirc people at Camp Flog Gnaw said her show was the most hyped with many people being there solely for her, a fucking grammy nomination, she won the ASCAP songwriters award, one of her most critically acclaimed albums, like fuck..
on top of that so many artists selling more than her would still kill to be her, she doesn't have chart acclaim but she has one of, if not the most dedicated fanbases- this isn't even to mention how highly she's respected within the industry. You can quite literally not find any other artist in the world right now (that isn't a "new" artist) that is loved by every artist from Stevie to Courtney to Lou Reed to Kanye to Taylor, Lorde, fucking Adele, Leonard Cohen's estate...I can't think of a single musician that isn't influenced or doesn't have at least some respect for her
all that in those pink jelly shoes and levi's
it's so fucking perfect and complex and her label wanted a 3 minute pop record with 2 verses, 3 choruses, and a bridge huh
I had this as my lockscreen for a good 6-7months, it invokes such a raw feeling of isolation and sadness, it looks straight out of some rundown 60s apartment, but it's from the late 2000s..just wow
This. This is one of my favorite lyrics she's ever written, it's so simple but the melody is incredible
and the diamonds calls back to Lana's glamorous early direction with high stakes high love ideologies from BtD n HM; whereas the crimson & clover is not only a reference to a vintage song, but comes across to her more earthy raw side we got with UV and 1/2 of LfL
fuck i want it tattooed onto my brain
