Finding "brethren" is nice lol! I think UV is like a one time deal in her career honestly. I hate that but in a way it will make it even more special as it should be. Yes it was dark but it was something I liked too. I'm just so excited to see how Honeymoon turns out lol!

See, I don't understand the comparison to BTD. These songs (HBTB and Freak) don't have that trip hop mixed with baroque pop sound, but trap and chillwave influence without strings. Having beats doesn't make them BTD 2.0...

Yeah, might be the reason. All I want is strings in every song, and I'll be fine this time. I guess UV will be an exceptional album in her career since it was a bit too dark which I loved tho.

I personally prefer UV and agree with you myself but I think the BTD people maybe prefer the production of it more so! I may be wrong I don't want to speak for something I don't necessarily know about lol. To each their own I say.

Me trying to get to UO before any new songs play because my school gets out at 2:30 and my UO is 30 mins away

FYI the Urban Outfitter of Montreal (on St-Denis) will play the album at 3pm on Saturday September 12th. I just went there and asked. The guy was not sure what I was talking about and went to see the manager. He said it won't be a party like some UO in the US (no drink or merch). They will simply play the record. Who cares, I'll bring my own booze and folding chair

A few days ago, I was NOT excited for this album at all, I just feel like she's not hyping it up enough but now that I've seen parts of the trailer I literally feel like I can't wait any longer

the thing is i am social, hence why i find it an odd setting. i dont wear cardigans or t shirts with owls wearing glasses on them, so if i go to this do i just show up alone and stand near the stationary section flipping through notebooks with foxes on them, or do i sit down next to the girl with blue hair and a kitten bag and smile at her while art deco is playing. usually this shit takes place in a club or a setting where the artist is there doing a q&a. not a fucking shop.
 
and what if life is beautiful is a hidden track at the end of the album and it starts playing and i scream and scare the blue haired girl next to me and she drops her bag with a cats face on it!? what then?

(imagine Lana showed up to a listening party and scared the fuck outta yall and was like "fuck the listening party, I'll sing em live" and hops onto a cute stage in UO and the whole band comes out and she started singing freak and slut dropping in some floral dress but this time with her black 4 inch high hair)

OMG just realized that whoever heard the crickets at the start of HBTB was correct when they predicted Freak would have crickets in them. Go listen to the preview, there is a cricket sound effect in the background, and since HBTB follows Freak on the tracklist, it makes sense you can hear a faint cricket sound at the start.
