IKR, it would be the perfect promo for her movie. Literally hate how stubborn she is with this. It will be too much at once. I don't want to feel overwhelmed.
If I can, I will listen to the album for a few days before going near the movie
Like, I know Melanie writes her songs for a very specific story, but I just prefer to work my way around a song before seeing the music video, cause I wanna feel something before I see what I'm supposed to see

Hot take: a lot of her songs sound way better live. So far every song produced by her that was played live that people thirsted after that later got leaked/released were pretty underwhelming. Burn Rubber for example, like, nice song, but the live version? wheww. Maybe she’s aware these songs are meant to be played live n that’s why she doesn’t release them.

Artists need to do concept albums more. It’s more interesting. I’d rather Marina pretend to be a suicidal slut again for a little while. I don’t mind. She’s sounding a bit like an old women who’s retired to a cabin in the woods lately...just very hippie and “love everything” cliches
Many of the new songs are slightly boring and a million songs like them exist. It’s such a flat inspired generic concept really....two albums called Love and Fear. My 10 year old sister could have thought of that. Same for Lana really, I felt “Love” and “In My feelings” were lazy. But what she lacks in song titles she makes up for in lyrics and production.
