  1. I didn't know this was a recognized genre, but it makes "Wicked Game" come to mind
  2. I love The Great Gatsby, but I don't like Old Money being associated with it, hearing ppl say them together in a sentence annoys me
  3. Wow thanks @@tropicunt for making this thread I started reading some and I'm in love with his writing
  4. Will anyone be watching the premiere of season 4 tonight?
  5. I was browsing through those music-radio stations on tv and was on 'Indie/College/Unsigned' and the dj was talking about how this girl called Lana Del Rey was blowing up and going to be massive and then played Video Games but then I switched the channel half way through (it was one of those hot afternoons and not one of those slow VG moods). Later that night, I remember searching her on Youtube and listening to DMD (demo) and then Hey Lolita Hey (thats the 4th demo I think?) and it's because of those Lolita references that I decided I loved her, and would eventually listen to whatever else was posted on Yt
  6. I've always liked Mtn Dew, but it's because of her that I switched to Diet As for Pepsi, Coke >>>>>> (sorry Lana)
  7. I love lullaby renditions! As well as 8-bits
  8. This isn't technically about Lana, but it's because of her that I became aware of trading leaks and finding registered titles. Can anyone link me sites or explain in depth regarding info about "trading", "unleaked songs" and exploring online music repertories? I've found it harder to search for writers/artists on PRS than BMI/ASCAP. Basically, I've just become intrigued with the more obscure side of music and have no idea where to begin learning about it.
  9. I've only ever used PCs but I need a new laptop soon and I'm considering a Mac but idk
  10. Can anyone send me a high quality video (it's like 4 minutes and a few seconds I think) of the UCoD snl performance?
  11. I was browsing ascap and saw that "Half Light" was cowritten by Justin Parker #getdatLanaconnection
  12. Wow, I feel the same way! The beginning especially sounded, idk, too experimental? And the lyrics are too literal/basic and repetitive(and there are points where the filters are too heavy on Dan's beautiful voice but that's me just nitpicking). It's growing on me after the first time I listened to it though, so I think it's one of those songs that needs some time
  13. Lana Del Rey You are at constant war with your vices and try hard to be a good person. You enjoy classic music and film, and you have a slight obsession with Old Hollywood and its icons. Although people may expect someone of your success to be conceited, you are down to earth and kind to all, even to those who do not deserve it. You have tons of acquaintances, but value the relationships with your close friends and family members who have been with you from the beginning most. Some may see you as guarded and perhaps a bit depressing to be around, but those who know you best know this isn't true. My fave era, though I thought I'd get May Jailer
  14. Also leaving this here for reference -> http://coolspotters.com/musicians/lana-del-rey/and/products
  15. I know this is a year late, but I just found this http://wheretoget.it/link/971067
  16. It's one of the best moments of the ENTIRE ALBUM, tbh
  17. You guys are getting me too excited about all the possibilities
  18. "Or we can read it as autobiography, the experiences of the woman born Elizabeth Grant bleeding into the Lana Del Rey mythology like a red bra through a translucent collared shirt." Yes, beautifully written
  19. Um Juliette Lewis was one of the people that outright slammed her on twitter for SNL
  20. I thought this was just a question and not a quiz and I was gonna answer with Ride because I've never experienced a music video like that and it marks the beginning of my stanning and it's just so me. And I was proven right js Ride - You’re one of a kind, an untamed yet intelligent person who’s been through a lot. You use your past grief and pain to make the best of your life, which makes you a great example to others. You tend to be fragile and vulnerable, but you don’t see that as a bad thing. You’ve learned to take care of yourself, yet people around you tend to be protective, which isn’t weird because you can be a bit naïve sometimes. Yet you approach others with a great amount of kindness, and there’s nothing wrong with that. You’re a crazy, free being! Great quiz btw, the questions were really fun!
  21. OUAD is basically my favorite Disney song (from my favorite Disney movie), so as far as Lana covers go, my life is complete. However she still needs to cover something from the A+ perfection that is The Hunchback of Notre Dame Supporting Sing, Sweet Nightingale as well because her voice would sound so lovely (TOW-esque maybe?)
  22. Dare I say this, but it might just be favorite leak
  23. I just saw Prisoners anD OMG I LOVED IT
