So good to read praise for Million Dollar Man ! It's one of her "jazziest" songs that doesn't try to sound like it. Granted, the production could have been a bit less "Emile", but I think it's wonderful nonetheless (plus, that's what Live versions are for ! haha)

I like it a lot Granted, it's too bad that the shots of her on the chaise longue are in B/W since the colors were so beautiful, but it's beautiful nonetheless. I don't quite get the presence of the girls bathing in water .... Plus, some of the shots are really clumsy, (and you can't blame them, trying to move gracefully underwater isn't an easy task). But overall, I really enjoy the photography of it all. I love how the camera is shot, her set up, the screen in the background, the boys playing (not enough, though) and she's really gorgeous through it all !

SoOoOort of haha FutureRetro : I don't really get what she meant by that, as a musical genre. But in the Boomerang interview, she mentioned a speaker who deals with time, future present and past and that made her think how her music would fit in the future (if I remember correctly). Noir : I wouldn't say NOIR, but a lot of songs do have this sort of cinematic orchestration. "Honeymoon" sounds like it could have been orchestrated by Ennio Morricone, "Salvatore" also has this sort of "old italian movies soundtrack" feel. Jazzy : well, I wouldn't call "Honeymoon" (album) jazzy but some songs do incorporate Jazz elements (sometimes in atmosphere, sometimes with instruments ..) Muddy Trap Energy : Hy By The Beach and Freak would fit that description, yeah. Late-night Miles Davis drives : this refers more to the drives she did while writing the songs, I believe, however I think it could describe the album pretty well...

No, it just made nothing whatsoever. Lana's voice was saying "To hear Freak, press blabla", so I did but nothing happened. The sound quality was crappy, though, so it wasn't a big deal anyway ^^
