This is definitely my favorite song out of the songs that we hadn't had yet. The atmosphere is wonderfully dark and dreamy, and the melody is hypnotic ! Too bad about the hit and miss lyrics. But some ligns like "Dying to the hands of a foreign man, happily" is so ... I can't describe it, it's so simple yet so evocative !

I agree. French is a beautiful language, especially in poetry or wordy texts but if you want to write songs ... Be careful, cause it can QUICKLY turn our cheesy. I love reading these without reading the title, first, trying to figure out what song it is. Different languages really give different vibes to the original songs !
