I’ve said it before but CTMP could literally be her signature song, like the ultimate XCX party anthem

How can anyone hear that song and not be like yeah bitch I wanna come to your party, let’s fuckin go

Okay so, I'm really fucking weird as anyone who's read any of my shit knows, but

My mental image of a poster is their profile pic. 99% of you look like Lana, but you're all different versions. So in this case, I'm reading this post, looking at your profile pic, and dying fucking laughing. Like, I'm sorry, I know it's not meant to be a funny post, but you're all, "I'm so fucking TIRED of this shit" and I'm just here imagining red-eyed Lana in your profile pic saying all that shit and I'm dying.

im sorry but this wait has just put this whole album into a bad taste for me. im not even excited. i dont even expect any song to turn out good and not because i dont like what we've gotten, ive loved it. but just the whole wait makes me so bitter and i dont even want to enjoy this album. just start a whole fucking new era. its been dragged out and its old. over it and over her dont-give-a-fuck attitude.

i cant wait to see yall post some shit like "yall talk shit but then will cry when the album is out" ctfu ok and mind your business

    @ everyone

i dont think many people have an issue with the wait for the album, i myself dont mind the wait. i just think people (including myself) are tired of being left in the dark with nothing. lana needs to stop making promises that shes not keeping and ignoring fans just asking for one bit of news or being left with no explanation for being left in the dark

the whole "album out top of the year" situation is just so unprofessional and shows a complete disregard for fans when they're the ones paying your fuckin bills and for your gross matcha tea. im not trying to be negative im just saying i can be a stan and still call out lana for her bullshit

    anyways

sorry if i’m not gonna sit here and bootlick lana all day in hopes of being invited to join her insta baddie cult, but go off! man’s ability to engage in free will i guess!

She hasn't even confirmed which festival dates she's cancelling, if any. I feel that she should at least do that ... that affects the festivals organisers (ticket sales) and the fans. There are people who are hesitant to buy tickets because she said she was cancelling dates and has not said anything since.

All that's required is a "hey guys - not cancelling any dates anymore" or "hey guys - I'm cancelling [date]" (which, at this late stage, would be a shitty thing to do, but nevertheless).

So the apologists can say she doesn't owe us anything, and she doesn't have to do anything, and leave her alone to live her life, and blah blah blah, but really, it's pretty shitty, as an artist, to say you're cancelling shows and then not say anything else for 5 months. Here we are, a month away from the first show, and people still don't know whether she's going to turn up or not.

i always thought of old money like she felt distanced from that time - not necessarily that she was implying she was physically old? like i'm 20 years old, i recently got in touch w my friend/crush from high school that i haven't talked to in four years which isn't really long at all (we were sophomores when we stopped talking but had known each other since like 7th grade), but i feel much older than i was then obviously bc of linear time but also in terms of maturity and stuff and in general that part of my life is pretty far from me now so it feels old, not me . like it's just far removed but it doesn't mean 20+ years have gone by. thats what i always thought of, especially bc i can easily relate to the lyrics with regard to the thing w my friend even while we were still friends so it's not like i was looking back on our relationship as a 55 year old woman reminiscing lol

i haven't read the past posts so idk how old money has to do w nfr so i hope i don't get any warning for being off topic but lol

i'm really goin thru it rn and lana singing the feminine pronouns in doin time is the only thing sustaining my will to live at this point like i am just a pile of dust . lana please feed us your children are dying

still can't believe she made something better than E-MO-TION. Thought that was going to be her magnum opus for me.

although i have listened to most of her albums, i do have to admit i’m not as familiar with her music other than the notorious blue. my mom used to play that, lou reed’s berlin, the rise and fall of ziggy, the hounds of love and ray of light all the time back when i was little so i have some really fond memories of those. joni’s album covers really do embody the spirit of the music itself so well, i think that’s also why i enjoyed a lot of what i heard (i have a weird thing with letting the artwork of a project dictate whether or not i like the music). recently i’ve been toying with the idea of just dedicating a whole day to give a good chunk of her discog another listen. this guy i had a huge falling out with was a huge joni fan and he’s kinda tainted a lot of wonderful artists for me (kate bush, pj harvey, tori amos, bjork, etc.), so it does get a little bit hard to not think of him whenever i do listen to them.

Oh gosh, Joni always reminds me of an ex. She spent a few months overplaying Sweet Sucker Dance and... I think it was called Blue Room? She let me borrow her Blue cd ages ago and I never gave it back lol

the whole album has been on repeat since it came out—especially real love. sonically the song reminds me a lot of the 1975 for some reason lol, this is definitely the supercut (by lorde) of the album for me. dedicated is truly everything i ever wanted and more, literally obsessed with the results.
  25. vitriolkisses liked a post in a topic by Cacciatore in Carly Rae Jepsen
My expectations for this album were really low (idk why) and I never thought she would deliver an album better than EMOTION but she did that
The album is so much more cohesive than EMOTION and I enjoy the sound a lot more
I still have to pay more attention to the lyrics but sonically the album is fucking amazing! Real Love is a highlight for me
