  1. these pictures have been out since like 2012, people even thought Chuck was Jennifer Lawrence at first
  2. I don't think she's dislikable at all. I think she's just dumb, which makes it hard to put up with her.
  3. 'Sad Girl' will forever be one of her most underrated songs. This song has so much bravado and I live for its bluesy atmosphere. I've said it on another thread on here before, but had it not been for 'Pretty When You Cry', I think that this moment would've been the album's climax. Most definitely her most intense bridge!
  4. This is completely unrelated to the poetic content of the book, since I haven't had time to delve into it just yet. However, from an aesthetic standpoint the whole thing is really beautiful. I love the images, the costum oil paintings as well as Lana's photos in it. I wasn't sure about how I felt with the cover/sleeve of the book, but I now really like the oranges painting and golden letters. Also, might sound weird, but I like the paper they chose for the book, it's kinda thick but it has this sort of newspaper feel to the touch? It's quite the neat little package. Well done Lana. The only thing I don't particularly like is the selfie at the back, but it's whatever.
  5. I ordered from amazon.ca and I haven't had any problems so far (they even charged me less than what was initially advertised). It says the item has despatched; I have a tracking number and everything. It's set to arrive before 8pm tonight local time.
  6. Has anyone that pre-ordered this on Amazon actually got charged way less than the original price?
  7. I don't know about her releasing material under her birth name. But I most definitely think that she should've released all the 'Violet' related material all at once, because right now it feels like there are two different eras/projects happening all at once. We have little to no information about one project and then some breadcrumbs about the other, it doesn't feel separate and clear like the other artists that are also releasing poetry. It's very non-sensical and confusing from a business and artistic point of view. Such a mess.
  8. Jen's little sister gives me that "oh look my sister is good friends with a celebrity, lemme take a pic quick" vibe Thanks tho Mackenzie, Lana looks gorgeous.
  9. the truth is that everything gets inevitably delayed with Miss Del Rey.
  10. Not to sound pretentious or delusional, but in my view, BTD is legit one of the, if not the most influential pop album of the 2010s. It got done dirty by the media, but it still had a strong, longlasting impact on the music scene.
  11. That list was a choice, makes sense they chose NFR over Born To Die, Ultraviolence and/or Honeymoon. Since it's her most palatable/digestible and least "controversial" album. I'm happy she got acknowledged for something though.
  12. RIGHT? I'd die for something halfway between 'Ride' and like 'West Coast' sonically.
  13. 1. Dan Auerbach 2. Rick Nowels 3. Rick Ruben 4. Emile Haynie
  14. Happy birthday to this truly special album. The cinematic album with the best bridges. Looking back this has really me thinking this was her peak. A moment in time.
  15. The entirety of 'Honeymoon'. Oh blessed day.
  16. Yeah I love how she made it her own thing, that's how covers should be imho! Yeah, same. I'm not that into Trixie's music (it's just not really my style) but I like her covers are great tbh, this one is not exception! Also, agree about the instrumentation, it's really beautiful.
  17. American drag performer Trixie Mattel has just released a cover of 'Video Games'. True to her style, she released a country and folk influenced rendition of Lana's debut single. Listen below!
  18. Off the top of my head: Off To The Races, Ride, West Coast, Shades of Cool, Brooklyn Baby, Terrence Loves You, The Blackest Day, Heroin, Get Free, Venice Bitch.
  19. Question for the culture ages do people really view 'California' as like this superior/career defining Lana song? Like really?
  20. Why is 'Sad Girl' so slept on? It's legit one of the best songs on 'Ultraviolence'. I know some stans complain about its "repetitiveness", but I honestly don't care, it has so much bravado in its melodies, the whole thing has so much fire and intensity. I venture to say that had 'Pretty When You Cry' not existed (and that guitar solo) the bridge in 'Sad Girl' would've been the climax of that whole album. Sorry, I just get really passionate about 'Sad Girl'.
