It feels premium, because it has the best production of any of her albums, it's so lush, sleek, hypnotizing and elegant! The recording and mixing process was spotless on this one! (Can you actually believe that this masterpiece literally turns four years old today? Happy birthday sweetie!)

yall we really paid FIILY/TG video dust...poor thing doesn't even have 10 million views. I just rewatched it on a large screen during sad boy hours and it's so beautiful

I'd love it if she worked with Justin Parker again. The songs they made together are all flawless (except for beautiful people beautiful problems  )
 
Also I don't get the hate for btd, it's her most successful album for good reason (it's literally #171 on this week's billboard chart, still charting to this date  )

I don't really agree that this was her peak. But I definitely agree that in terms of visuals and aesthetics the Born To Die/Paradise era remains unmatched, and that's a fact.

LDR is not necessarily over the ‘artificial’ style of BTD/P. She did say HM was “closer in style to the first two” several times upon its release, and ‘Art Deco’ and ‘Religion,’ and even ‘TLU,’ seem very much like BTD/P tracks, as do a couple on LFL. And then there's CG on NFR.
 
I like the ‘artificial’ style best. I am sure it will come and go on her releases.

First of all: how dare you?
Second of all, they had already ripped off this song from The Air That I Breathe and had to pay copyrights to The Hollies. So to accuse Lana of ripping them off was a bit of a stretch, and I genuinely believe that the similarities in the chord progression was a coincidence on her part. 
Third of all, it's literally the best song on that godawful record.

Aren't we over these critics though? Like you know damn well that if Lana were to release Ultraviolence and Honeymoon today it would get critical acclaim, by the same critics I might add. Born To Die is the most innovative and influential pop album of the 2010s and critics paid it dust, it's literally still charting to this day. I stopped giving a crap about critics when Lana got like 5/10 for BTD by Pitchfork and called it a "fake orgasm" or something, and now they try and convince us that "Oh look at Lana Del Rey she finally released a great album, let's give her 9.4 to make us look like we know what we're talking about", give me a break, Jared.
 
Edit: Another thing about Born To Die, if Lana hadn't released that album, there would be no Halsey, Lorde, Melanie Martinez, Troye Sivan and even Billie Eillish.

There's no arguing there though, Honeymoon, from a production point of view, is her best album! It has the most lush, refined and cinematic sound of all her albums. I can't believe this masterpiece turns four years old tomorrow!
 

For real though, the album was recorded a year ago and this is what we ended up with in terms of sound AND sound quality, choices. All tea right there!
