This is the Lana I fell in love with and hope and pray for more music like this on her next album. Honestly this is one of her best songs 

Oh, no question Azealia and Kanye are multiple orders of magnitude worse. But having your outfit criticized by silly entertainment shows is just par for the course when you're a celebrity. I don't understand why she takes it so personally. And I dunno about you, but if I were sitting at a table with Kathy Griffin and Nancy Pelosi that's not a subject I'd bother with. I also think a lot of people here would look at this situation quite a bit differently if it didn't involve someone they stan.

This is assuming Kathy is relaying the story with any speck of truth, though. I don't have a doubt in my mind Lana would be cold towards her, because Lana does take criticism to heart, but I also have every doubt the situation went down anywhere near the story Kathy is spinning. Again, the details of the story changed astronomically just within the last year. It's bull.

I used to like Kathy but her schtick became unfunny in the early 2000s. Her career should have died a decade ago.

I'm actually still bitter she was even named worst dressed in the first place. Honestly what the fuck??? I still think that it's one of her best looks and the fact she was channeling Marilyn is so cute. Definitely did not deserve the title

The reason putting LDR on a worst-dressed list was "preposterous" was that the dress was a vintage antique from a designer who gained fame from Marilyn Monroe wearing his dresses (or maybe he was famous before that, don't know). There is a dress very similar to what LDR wore at the golden globes that is gold in color that you can find images of Marilyn wearing. They are very famous photographs. So basically what Kathy (or whoever it was) was saying by placing LDR on a worst-dress list was either that the dress was trash (suggesting a historical ignorance of fashion and glamour), or that LDR was unqualified to wear something that Marilyn wore in some sense. To the latter, in particular, I would say: preposterous indeed!
 
If the excerpt in the OP is what's actually in Kathy's book, then it's pretty embarrassing for her, imo.
