i find her "advocacy for fragility" in the feminist movement is so bizarre. doesn't she realise that a submissive woman has always been championed by the patriarchy and oppressive men? clearly her glorification for sexist and old Americana is still deeply ingrained despite the narrative progress with NFR. also - making reparations to one community doesn't mean you can't have racial bias to another. i get the (deserved) backlash is intense, and i'm so sad, but WHY is she not referring back to her publicist before making these follow-up statements?

When I first listened to "The next best american record" i was thinking... it should be way louder lmao. the vocals on that track have a weird quality sound to them too. still enjoy tf out of it though

your last point is interesting because, before she started running her mouth just now, public opinion of her was at an all time high. NFR was acclaimed, people wanted her to win the Grammy, etc.  
Her rant is about 8 years late anyways, no one even talks about that stuff anymore.

disclaimer: i don't think the name-dropping pertains to this issue, i just have found her feminism talk to be inane and disingenuous. i don't think she cares about women, she cares about public opinion of her more than anything.

It's definitely left a bitter taste. I've lost all respect for her as a person.
I couldn't even bring myself to listen to her new little spoken word poem she put out...
And I mean, I've seen her live many times, I've met her once. I've listened to her for countless hours while painting.
It's just disappointing that her true colors could be so dark.

Do u remember when she said "January 4th" for Violets and now we're almost in June and still didn't get the album nor a new release date? WHF won't be out until October 2021, calling it now.

Still adore her and believe she’s one of the best musicians ever but today has lowkey turned me off a little bit

you can defend Lana without tearing down another artist.... Lana not showing her ass and titties doesn't make her a pure and holy goddess

she needs to stop talking about feminism, politics, etc unless she decides to educate herself first
