  1. The High By The Beach radio version sounds like they play it from an iphone
  2. They have so much background noise ... annoying
  3. Million Dollar Man, Carmen, National Anthem, Cola, Blue Jeans, Born To Die, Video Games, Summertime Sadness, Carmen, BodyElectric, Ride ... so many possibilitiies Tbh I could see her doing Terrence Loves You, Honeymoon or maybe even God Knows I Tried. I'd REALLY love to her her perform The Blackest Day, Religion orFreak but I highl doubt this will happen because she's not Marina and I doubt she'll turn a non-acoustic song into an acoustic one .... I also doubt MTWBT because the chorus is kind of hard to perform within an acoustic set.
  4. So, this "new video" is supposed to be aired today?
  5. Video Games - 29 Born to Die - 15 National Anthem - 7 West Coast - 40 Shades Of Cool - 38 Brooklyn Baby - 27
  6. I hope she'll just do new songs and we won't get Video Games or Summertime Sadness.
  7. I can't with y'all including Burnt Norton. It's a spoken interlude, you can't compare it to actual songs.
  8. Well, I like the album (even though I think Young God is one of the weakest tracks on the whole album) but I think I'll never do more than listen to her because evrything else annoys me
  9. Ever since she cut her hair and changed her style form tumblr Lolita to "I'm sucha serious artist" I dislike every music video she does. The Badlands trailer was already as awkward as the whole Ride video and the previews for New Americana ... ugh. She's really one of those artists who you#re just supposed to listen to, because everything else will annoy.
  10. She's interested in science, has a huge LGBT fanbase, aswell as a song called "For You" which is most likely about a homosexual coming out, she played a lesbian in the Summertime Sadness music video and tweeted about attending a gay pride, she tweeted negatively about the congress (I hope I'm not mistaking it) was elected and there were mainly conservatives in it, she said that even though feminism isn't the center of her own little lanaverse it's something important .... Come on, that doesn't sound like an Republican. Plus her singing about all these amrican dream things is most likely a stylistic device. Born To Die is full of americana references and especially the Ride video is so over the top. She even once said she's not all" Rar rar America!" herself, even though she has these songs in an interview. Also, she might be religious but the way she expresses it (Tropico) seems quite liberal. Aaaand she's a big Kurt Cobain fan, who was someone who stood up against many republican ideas.
  11. It#s not Born To Die at all, I don't know how y'all are getting this feeling. Born To Die is much more pop.ish and her vocal style was still very different, so were the instrumentals and the atmosphere of the album. It's not Uv.2.0 aswell, but it's closer to it in terms of vocals and sound.
  12. Ultraviolence is the greatest one so far. The almost concept-album-y coherence, the dark yet summery vibes, the raw and emotional sound and the lo-fi-rock ... She really did something great there and, even more important, something she hadn't done before. My second fav is Paradise, it's so great at evoking emotions with each song. Honeymoon and Born To Die are on an equal footing for me. Born To Die is a great debut, the composition of low-Nancy Sinatra esque vocals, dramatic orchestral instrumentals in contrast to Lolita-esque vocals, E-drums playing Hip Hop beats and all those samples ... It's a great album and each track is beautiful. Plus I think it's the "most different" one if you compare it to the rest of her material, since it's the most pop-ish one. Honeymoon is laid back and has some beautiful songs. the vocals are great and mature but yet I don't think it's the most spectacular album she's done so far.
  13. Music To Watch Boys To 24 Religion The Blackest Day
  14. The transition between Art Deco and Burnt Norton is very smooth aswell
  15. The album's actually very diversive. It has a coherent style, but each track is very unique on it's own. Honeymoon, with it's creeping violins and the minimalistic instrumental with main focus on her vocals. Terrenc eLoves You is slow and jazzy, Music TO Watch Boys to is laid back and tropical, god KnowsI Tried has a western-esque feeling mixed with slight gospel vibes. High By The Beach is a beachy-muddy-trap song, Freak is sexy and mysterious. Art Deco is a song like it could play in a lounge of any artsy, upper-class-hipsters club while Salvatore evokes Little Italy feelings and 24 shapes it's simple, cute melody up to a Bond-song worthy chorus. The Blackest Day is a very emotional song, while Religion is a more "classic Lana song" and Swan Song is a dark, moanful outro. The Other Woman has these syntheziser instrumental going on.
  16. I#d love to have this one pic of gaga with teh two children on the couch in good quality ;(
  17. Video Games - 26 Born to Die - 13 Blue Jeans - 7 National Anthem - 14 West Coast - 39 Shades Of Cool - 37 Brooklyn Baby - 20 You guys are kidding me right? You don't sacrifice Blue f*cking Jeans to Brooklyn Baby
  18. Still can't figure out if Art Deco is supposed to be something positive. The Art Deco style ontains very stylized motives and most things are without debth" or shadow. Apart from this, the overall emphasis on "decorative" stuff ... I don't know, if you project these traits on a person, it sounds like it would be someone very shallow, someone who looks great but lacks character behind his beauty. This would kind of fit the unsure downtown party queen person Lana seems to watch/talk to. but knowing Lana, she could have just searched for an artsy, retro word and it#s meaning this person has a somehow classy aura, evoking Great Gatsby vibes.
  19. I could imagine the underwater parts aren#t actually in the video. Like, she used this footage for the sampler and she really loves it, so while she couldn't use it for UV, she at least uploaded it to promote MTWBT/Freak. But judging from the concept book and the BTS pics, I guess we'll get kitschy-colorful-tropical scenes with Lana observing the male models.
  20. Born To Die had Nancy Sinatra x Lolita vocals, dramatic orchestra x hip hop beats, samples and e-drums, romance x tragedy ... all of these combinations made it very diversive and iconic. Paradise had this power of evoking many emotions with each of it songs, it sounded like desire, loneliness, fragility and happiness ... Ultraviolence is almost concept album-esque, with all it's dark yet summery vibes. It has a very raw and emotional sound and the lo-fi-rock was something different. I really like the album with it's minimalistic yet very effective instrumentals, the use of more "uncommon" instruments and the laid-back atmosphere. It's coherent, yet each song is very unique. I like every song (GKIT and TLY may be weaker songs, but I still really like them) but ... somehow the album's missing something to be her "greatest album so far" or my favourite one. It#s great to have Hobeymoon and I appreciate it a lot, but somehow it feels "least special" for me so far.
  21. That's extremely hard to say. My least favourite one is God Knows I Tried. The gospel-esque thing is nicely executed and her vocals are quite nice aswell, so is the production and instrumental. The verses and bridge are very good too. But the chorus is killing it for me. Like, too repetitive, too long and I just don#t like spiritual topics. Can't figure out which one's my favourite so far.
  22. OTTR and Salvatore ... MAYBE. But very vaguely. I don't really get why people feel the need to relate those two though. But Carmen? It has a lot of strings but .. yeah.
  23. It's super awkward and so try-hard-deep and poetic ... It's really bad and PRETENTIOUS even for a music video. Those monologues are as bad as stripping and shakingones ass. She can do better things without trying to be super-poetic. Especially when the rest of the video is her f+cking ugly guys.
  24. The MV is disgusting though. Those monologues are super awkward and pretentious and all those ugly daddys and her basically just f*cking around and waving guns and american flags ... annoying. Tropico is interesting, however I cringed so hard when so many fans took it as a serious "experience".
