I wouldn't call her plain at all. With no makeup and glamour she's still stunningly beautiful. I think taking issue with a woman in her mid thirties not wanting to go to the same lengths in terms of makeup and dress she went to in her twenties when she was getting famous is a bit iffy.
 
I'd be really open to this era of going more natural and focusing on her art if she was focusing on her art at all. If she wanted to take a break, that's fine. The accusations of her being unprofessional aren't because she's not churning out music or indeed taking a break, but because she's giving us radio silence about an album we were promised 'at the top of the year.'
 
I wonder if she will go back to the name Elizabeth, particularly with the references to the Elizabethan era in her poetry. If she wants to shed the Lana persona and who she used to be I'd be interested in seeing that. It must be hard keeping up the Lana stuff when so much of it is built on thinks she might want to move beyond, like K. Idk. Like I said, it would be interesting, but it's still shit being sold the idea of LDR and her authenticity. But I imagine it must be a thousand times worse for her, coming up with a persona, building an empire on it, and then being expected to remain as that person you created to get famous.

I understand what you're saying, and I 100% agree about becoming too emotionally invested/frustrated over someone else's life/decisions. That's not healthy or productive. However ...
 
I don't think that discussion of her friends is irrelevant, given that they are part of her new ... lifestyle (if we could call it that) and that that lifestyle seems to be, at least partially, the reason for the NFR delay. As I said, it's her life, and her decisions, but as a public figure, she can expect to have those decisions scrutinised and seeing as this is a discussion board, I don't feel that it's wrong to do so here.
 
All I can say is, if my BFF put up a pic of herself in front of the Beverly Hills Hotel, we'd be having words. And I'm not even a famous bitch with millions of gay fans.
 
I don't even know how I feel about NFR being released in the context of this phase, and whether it will influence how I will feel about the music, but I'll rant about that another time.
 
I'm hoping the cover is a reproduction of one of Norman's works ... there are so many good options ... like that one someone posted awhile ago with a woman slumped against a wall with a book in her lap. She could replace all the objects with objects pertaining to her and it'd be sooo much fun to see.

I'm actually getting pretty resentful now. Like before I was like "okay this is annoying but maybe if we hang on just a little bit longer..." and now here we are with two songs that are 4 months away from being a YEAR old. It's getting far too ridiculous at this point. Most of her stans have already threatened not to buy the album at all (myself included). This alone should not only be a wake up call to Lana, but her sad excuse of a managment team also.
 
This wouldn't even be a problem at all if SOMEONE just gave us some solid updates and interacted with us and answer a few simple questions but clearly that's too damn hard in the golden age of technology.
