That's not what's happening, Melanie knew specific titles in advance that she wanted on the album and would fit the story - so she was writing songs of the same names, before anything from Portals sessions leaked. I guess she wasn't satisfied with the originals.

ngl I feel like Hollywood, I Don't Wanna Go and Starry Eyed stick out pretty much as they're much newer than the rest, but other than that it's a great collection  

considering there’s already two songs with the same name as leaked demos i think it would only do more damage  imagine if there’s a new song called Sirens and people get excited for nothing

ngl considering that Queen of the Clouds and Sunshine Kitty had plenty of extra tracks (particularly QOTC) I have hopes. I think Borderline + 3 songs is very realistic. Hopefully more.

And Nectar of the Gods, Cherry Blossom and Living Legend were YouTube rips, they're like 128/160 kbps from the CD. I bought it and exported it to FLAC, yet those three were lossy af

like that time a few months ago when a troll posted a tweet saying halsey told capitol to not let sky release her album.. and they all like.. literally believed it  as if halsey is not a whole mother with a child and actively making music and touring and making movies and whatever the fuck else and probably has not even thought about sky in years  the sky community on twitter is deranged

This is absolutely the best snippet so far, and makes me way more excited about the new version of Void. The cut off version that got sent to that Stan account did not sound this good, even in the HQ.
 
I've been craving a less pop-y sound from her for a while, and while some leaks that hit that spot for me, I'm really looking forward to this getting an official release and(hopefully) a good video.

I lowkey want that sound for her next album! It would be nice to hear songs in that vein  

Honestly as upset as I will be if there's no leaked songs on the album I'm honestly just happy we're getting something new. But I'm going to be incredibly upset if it sucks because we all know Melanie is capable of making amazing music and she's got a bad habit of scrapping the best songs sometimes 

im really hoping she incorporates that dark-electro pop into the album. i think it really suits her voice a lot more than other genres
