I feel like maybe she just "came up" with it like she did with hollywood sadcore and surf noir and hawaiian glam metal. Idk, this doesn't sound like Lana at all. She doesn't even play any instruments. Like, it'd be interesting but Lana Del Rey and indie rocker Dan Auerbach making jazz? Nope....

Nu jazz is an umbrella term coined in the late 1990s to refer to music that blends jazz elements with other musical styles, such asfunk, soul, electronic dance music, and free improvisation.[1] Also written nü-jazz or NuJazz, it is sometimes called electronic jazz, electro-jazz, electric jazz, e-jazz, jazztronica, jazz house, phusion, neo-jazz, future jazz or jazz-hop and electro-lounge.
    According to critic Tony Brewer,

Also, I'm not expecting a surprise release at all, she's just teasing like she did with all of her other releases. Btw, visual album is not an actual thing, Beyonce or her marketing team made that word up. Releasing a music video for every track isn't that uncommon (neither are surprise releases).

Lana Del Ray was recorded six years ago, I don't see her going back to that sound. And I'm not against the kind of preview she did with Paradise, I was still pretty surprised when I listened to the full EP. And her keeping her "daddy" thing up would only make sense if she kept talking about her old boyfriends and I hope she's moved on from that.

Got nothing to do with Vietnam, I doubt she even knows where it is on a map.

I don't get it either. She never confirmed anything. People just get these ideas in their heads and build up insane expectations, then they're mad at Lana and get all dramatic and pissy how they're not waiting anymore (sure sure ), acting as if she owes them something. She will do it her way, shrouded in mystery and all, and calling her a bitch and being whiny won't change that by a single iota. The May 1st thing wasn't even supposed to be a set-in-stone kind of date so it'd be nice if everyone calmed down a bit.

I know I've said it before and I'm going to say it again.
I don't know why you guys are constantly expecting a single release every single Tuesday. I don't believe there is a set day for a single to release, and if it is Tuesday, then Lana has only followed that twice. Out of all the singles she's released, two were released on a Tuesday.
I'm sorry it just kind of irritates me it's a simple concept

OMG I'm so tired of reading the words "Rob said it would be coming when we least expect it" or some variation thereof. Trust and believe he was doing nothing but giving a stock answer to thirsty fans and it means absolutely nothing

    Some future jazz songs:

Doesn't sound like something Lana would do and also doesn't sound like her and Dan's descriptions.

For some reason, I have this feeling K really was Lana's one true love and she's just waiting to die to see him in heaven ("scared you won't be waiting on the other side" etc.)

and you squirt fishy-smelling pepsi out of your pussy into the faces of people you don't like?
  19. vmbb liked a post in a topic by lola in Which Lana songs do you get stoned to?
Was this in response to my post? Because I never said anything against doing drugs but against drug culture. I don't care if you drink, smoke weed, do acid, smoke meth, do heroin or whatever you feel like, I just don't like it when people feel the need to tell everyone about it and feel so cool about it. I also think it's a bit odd how so many pot smokers feel so superior to people who do other, harder drugs but don't try to convince everyone around them that what they're doing is healthy and good and should be legalized.

I kinda have the feeling that Lana wants to be a Lolita. I don't think she necessarily was one. In her old homemade music videos she's still acting quite childish and cute because that's what she wants to be seen like.

She has this vision of a relationship in which she is the young, innocent little girlsand the man is an old, mean, strong bad guy. She wants to be a helpless little girl being saved by a strong, experienced man.

That's just my impression. But I think she's grown out of that since Barrie isn't that much older than her and she seems stronger and more confident now.

August or September 2011. Honestly, I don't see myself being a fan of hers forever. She's evolved musically but I don't feel like she's really grown much. I don't see a specific time when I'll stop liking her but I've already started listening to her less and less and unless Ultraviolence is really great, I'll probably get bored of her within the next few years. I mean, I'm still growing up and I'm already finding myself finding a lot of what she's done/written...questionable. Like, I can't see myself doing it, much less a 28 year old. I don't have specific examples right now but yeah, things about her I found really interesting 2 years ago just seem stupid to me now.
