  1. Angry Slutty Lana is the mood 2020 deserves somehow. (not slut-shaming, just teasing) (Also low-key hoping #that trends. We stan a random punctuation queen!)
  2. OMG iconic! She is just fucking DONE with everything. Burn it down, Lanz! New album incoming: "Not Through Love, But Through Revenge" I have this mental image of Giant Lana from the Doin' Time video just stompin' everything in her path.
  3. OMG I am dead, you win the internet #fuckoff ...you little fuckers What's completely killing me though are the comments like "so does this mean we get some new slutty songs? Or nah...?" Never come between a woman and her dream (even if I am kinda confused about what her goal is here??)
  4. I literally don't know which is more likely at this point. But it may blow over now?
  5. I think, in her confusing Lana way, she's giving a heads-up that her next album will be a return to her earlier persona ( ). Sounds like behind the scenes someone (producer? industry people?) might have criticized that, and she's like, "no, things have changed in 10 years, all these other women can write about the topics I've been criticized over and it's not a big deal anymore, in fact they have great success with it, so why shouldn't I?" It really sounds like she is responding to someone in particular, but she put it out there with zero context.
  6. I keep thinking about this article from 2014 that was prob the truest thing I've ever heard said about Lana: https://www.gigwise.com/photos/91560/ "Almost every interview with Del Rey includes at least one quote that you have to go back over three times because you think you must have misread it. You haven't. These quotes aren't arrogant or obnoxious - they're just... perplexing. Strange. Other-wordly. Never before has a woman so perfectly trod the line between profound and nonsensical." (Then it talks about her iconic statement that women and tigers can't be in the same room )
  7. This is SO LANA...completely silent for ages and then she'll drop a bombshell like on Mother's Day and now this...and that'll prob be it for another few months while we all lose our minds trying to interpret it and writing thinkpieces. Lana, Lana, tell 'em what it is, Tell 'em when you do it that you only do it big
  8. She finally snapped, and even if it came across messy, I love that she's done trying to please critics. I think losing the Grammy to an actual child (which must feel like Lorde 2.0) was the last straw. When I think about something like Lust for Life Demo vs. LFL album version...it's clear she's better when she's not trying to be safe or have a radio hit or whatever. No idea why she's doing this TODAY, but if she's working on her next album, it might be something tiny, like Jack or somebody saying "Lana are you sure you want to do GoGo Dancer Part 2 on this album?" and she's just OVER IT and like "I will do whatever I fucking want RAWRRRR!" I hope this album is nonstop old school Lana.
  9. Goddamn, girl child...! Between this and the Mother's Day post, she clearly is fresh out of fucks forever, and I'm here for it. Raw, unfiltered Ultraviolence 2.0 incoming Sept 5. "I'm just a glamorous person" yes, queen Her father issues were always strong Our Mom's glamour lives on and on
  10. I had never heard Demo 1 until today, and I like it SO MUCH BETTER than the final version! It sounds so cute and young, a Lizzy song instead of a Lana one.
  11. I like the lyrics on Demo 1 the best, but it bugs me the way she keeps saying "don't cry aBOWT it" I like Demo 2 the best in terms of sound.
  12. It isn't a complete thought. It seems she was about to sing "Momma's always going to be right here" (if she finished the line like the others) but got choked up or for some other reason just stopped. Maybe it was too emotional a thought, either because her Momma wasn't always there, or if she meant herself as a "Momma", that thought made her choke up. Or, y'know, she just messed up the lyrics; can't count that out.
  13. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the photo with Sean, but I think those were a bunch of photos from different times in the past that she included because they have her new mom/friend in them...there are way too many people on that boat for social distancing anyway. So I don't think it means they're back together. I love the May Jailer 2020 selfie. I don't think she's ever been that vocal about her feelings about motherhood before. Maybe it's just that her friends are having bebes, plus Mother's Day can bring up a lot of feelings. I imagine her inner monologue right now being something like, "I feel ready to settle down...I'm disappointed Sean didn't work out...who knows if I'll ever meet Mr. Right...but there's other ways to be a mom or feel maternal...and at least I'm not a bad mom...speaking of, Patty and I do not get along!"
  14. What any of this has to do with Instagram...? Entertaining though it is! Anyway, on her Insta, the pic she just posted of Chuck is super pretty.
  15. A haiku: So young and pretty No fillers, only freckles Leave your face alone
  16. If you were me, and I was you I'd get out of my way She's already said all that needs to be said about his mess, during White Mustang Live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0ehxhWw4RU "it wasn't even that good"
  17. These? http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/10278-norman-fucking-rockwell-pre-release-thread/?p=739887
  18. I've wondered if it was a lowkey reference to "Cup of Coffee" by Garbage, one of the all-time great breakup songs IMHO. Shirley Manson is a
  19. I figure she mistakenly posted publicly the first time (hence the delete) and is now actually ready to start some sort of release date buzz. Who knows though.
  20. I definitely hear "I'd never betray" and it sounds like "I don't start fights but I stop 'em (something) anyway (or enemy?)"
  21. LOL! She's so messy...I wonder if she was planning it as an Easter surprise and it got put up too soon. I think the timing is good (assuming it drops soon); something new to listen to during quarantine, plus she had said that Norman got so much critical praise that his little sister (presumably meaning her next album) might be judged harder, or something like that. Since Violet is a different genre, she won't have to "compete" with Norman.
  22. Get that spoken word Grammy, queen! So happy for us, and for her. She had dreams of being a beautiful poet. And livin' like Jim Morrison (who also wrote poetry).
  23. Chuck's dog Chuck needs a mask! And they both need gloves! But I like the blonde highlights in Lana's hair. Elle, would you consider making an icon (is that what it's called?) with her masked face? Could be called :quarantine:
