He posted it with the (same) Tulsa Jesus Freak clip; is it safe to assume the "new music" means TJF as a single? "Soon" though, um, we've been burned before on that.

I wonder whether the hair appt today will be for "champagne blonde" (what the Tulsa hairdresser said she was taking "baby steps" towards) or light red (the box on the kitchen counter). Either would be beautiful, of course.

She looks white hot (forever) like FIRE!!!! I hope she hasn't seen / doesn't care about the recent body-shaming nonsense online, but if she DID see it...this is the best revenge. Perfect image for the sexy new song

I am DYING at these lyric readings, especially the canned ham!!! Charlie sounds like such a stoner California dude, it's so funny. It really sounds SO cinnamon girl, I love it. -
The "catching frogs in Tulsa OK" photos from Zella Day's IG are just like, what?? Lana looks like she's trying to kiss one. Maybe to find a prince and replace Sean?

Thank you for all your hard work, Elle! I wonder what you'll cook up for the kids today?

Lana shopping at 7-Eleven in Los Angeles, CA - July 28th, 2020

I'm imagining her as a guest star on a new season of GLOW and it makes me so happy I can't even cope. I wonder what her character name would be??? "Route 66" is cute retro Americana, not MAGA stuff, so it's definitely on-brand for her. I think it was a demo version of Queen of the Gas Station where she mentions it in fact. Edit: this is what I meant: With Slurpee machines and organs playin' And preferably with smokin' inside, if you can swing it Maybe with a post office attached to it With chickens runnin' in and out of it I saw one like that in New Mexico on Route 66 -

LA Who Am I To Love You

I think it's "Xanax" but pronounced sort of slurred like "zaks", the same way Marla Singer in Fight Club (as played by Helena Bonham Carter) pronounces it when she says, "I've got a stomach full of Xanax. I took what was left of a bottle. It might have been too much." Marla reminds me of Sylvia Plath, and this poem reminds me of both of them. So sad and honestly disturbing. On a lighter note, do you think she'll ever move back to New York?? (just kidding) -
I think the lighting might be why her hair color has a grey cast here...just a couple of days ago, the closeup of her in the car in natural light, it was a gorgeous light blonde. She looks stunning there, with pink lip gloss and no lash extensions. She looks like grownup Lizzy. So let’s see photos in better light before critiquing the color. As for the rest, part of what’s beautiful about women is that our bodies aren’t meant to stay static. We wax and wane like the moon, babe. Just part of our magic.

Lana can have lyrics that are actually quite angry or are insulting someone (an ex, usually) but she sounds so chill about it...for example, sweetly singing "if you were me, and I was you, I'd get out of my way" or (my fave) "you can be a bad mofo but that don't make you a man." So, I don't think the album will sound angry, like thrash metal or anything ( ) but the lyrics may deal with the issues she's been talking about, like slut-shaming, in a direct way. Ice queen putting the world on blast, love it.

I don't think of Coachella as at all representative of her work though...she wrote it fast and wanted to share it because it was timely; it probably should have been a single and not on the album. I think of Looking for America as the corrective--the idea of Coachella, but done right, both musically and by being a standalone single. Since "country club" has nothing to do with "country music" I really doubt the album will sound country. If anything a "country club" makes me think midcentury preppy vibes but kinda fucked up (the "chemtrails" part). So...David Lynch teas, basically.

I think there could be an unconscious "this is how I've seen cool people in L.A. style their shirts" factor that isn't nearly as thought-out as appropriation, just what she perceives to be current style. Anyway! The pool picture is so CUTE. I'm glad she and Chuck are having such good sister time.

Since Pico is dead, does anyone have a new link with this part filtered so it's easier to hear? Honeymouns posted on IG that the "hidden" lyrics are: “And your rock and roll And your rock and roll Pop song of the summer boy (And your rock and roll) All the ways I want your loving boy (And your rock and roll) And your rock and roll” ...but I don't hear it.

Ok, but this response to the angry tweet (with all the images of Lana not GAF) is hilarious and I want to save it to use for everything on the internet (not just Lana-related things): News: Hoes Mad!

You can tell by the swagger and the lips! (And the lashes!!! Great to see her feeling herself like this )
