  1. It does kind of sound like “color wheel”! But it also sounds like she could still be figuring out the lyric and just mumbling a placeholder. I think at one point the background bit switches to “we could have everything”. I’m obsessed with this song now
  2. The way this thread is harshing my French Restaurant mellow vibe : Anyway. The beautiful new leaks really do make me wish for an album of her favorite Unreleased, perhaps with a couple of newly written tracks as a bonus. BB + FR would be a match made in heaven.
  3. I’m still trying to mentally reconcile the BB snippet with the angry revenge album...maybe a totally different album of course, but in my head BB does a 180 turn in the middle and turns into Roses: “you promised to help me paint the banisters...but then we start to fight, tumble down the staircase”
  4. I kinda low-key thought this WAS the album trailer? I don't think the clip is from a BB music vid...seems to be footage for a TJF vid that never saw the light of day.
  5. Clay posted a blue heart as a comment under the snippet I like the continuity of her favorite color connecting so many of her songs... all the way from kissin’ in the blue dark to now.
  6. It’s beautiful. Wow. She and Clay are so sweet in the video clip. I wonder what she meant about the next chapter... for her sake, I hope it means having her Clementine and whatever else she really wants.
  7. Not me thinking for a minute she was going to have two albums, Rock Candy Sweet in June and then Blue Banisters in July. Then realizing BB is probably the re-titled RCS. But maybe both are titles of songs on the album. Make it make sense.
  8. Same wavelength! I was just thinking I want a Lana Barbie just like this Our minds!
  9. Which she predicted in her Doin' Time video! I don't know if you all have seen the crazy hype about the hot Giantess in the upcoming video game Resident Evil 8 (this article, for example) but every time I see someone make comments like wanting her to step on them and squash them etc, I think about Lana in that video. Curvaceous Lana can squash us anytime.
  10. Lip gloss, acrylics, and shades are the best revenge!
  11. She looks amazing in the selfie at the end.
  12. It’s like they threw Lana poems and lyrics in a blender! Not bad though.
  13. This is so specific that it could be a Lana lyric. Ohio BBQ Freak. But she’d pronounce it “Oh-hee-oh” for no reason. We should go back to Ohio Trade this body for a plate of ‘que Out behind my family shed, darlin’ Where you know just what to do...,
  14. Paradise-era Lana in concert smoking cigarettes, wearing a long sleeve wedding dress chopped into a minidress, plus huge retro hair, is peak Lana to me. So weird and cool and glam all at once. Iconic.
  15. Jack is nerdy cute, but the bigger issue to me is that I think he and Lana have done all that can be done in the piano ballad mode, so it is time for a fresh direction for her. I do love some of the piano ballads! But I think anymore would verge on self parody. Especially if there are jingle bells
  16. Her little boots are so cute. But Nikki pressuring her to sing that song when it seems like she and Clay are breaking up...
  17. "All I hear is Billie Holiday; that's all that I play." Personal sovereignty means being at the center of your own life and not giving others too much power over you., so that sounds to me like a very confident, empowered mindset of setting boundaries whether she and Clay are broken up or just taking a break. She's stronger than all her men (except for you)
  18. Killin' it, talkin' shit Joan said she was gonna quit The way the chaotic energy of this thread has ruined all 5,000 songs where Lana says "shit" for me.
  19. This is SENDING me. There could be other reasons for him deleting his stuff, but...you all make a compelling case.
  20. I don't like most country, but one of my treasures is Cowboy Junkies' legendary Trinity Sessions record, which is chill, sexy blues/country. I could *easily* imagine Lana having her version of that. Imagine her singing Song for Elvis:
  21. I keep expecting this whole thing to be a hoax somehow, but it isn't April 1 yet, so... Got a lollipop rock candy, I'll give you some.
  22. On the one hand, the "rock" in "rock candy" (the actual type of candy) has nothing to do with the genre of music...but then again, the "country" in "country clubs" has nothing to do with that either, but it actually turned out to be her most country album. So maybe it IS a rock album. I don't even know any more. All I know is I keep wanting to call it Rock Candy Scissors.
  23. I am 99% genuinely terrified that she is going to end up dead or institutionalized from overwork and the stress of reacting to mean things said about her on the internet. I am 1% selfishly thrilled because COCC era, while lovely, seemed to be about finding a nice guy and settling down in suburbia, whereas I love edgy, chaotic Lana. And I am picturing WTF a tracklist of revenge about claims her "career is built on cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse" would be: 1. "I Hate You, Patty" 2. "I Hate The Media" 3. "He Hit Me And I Fucking Loved It, Fuck You" 4. "Dealer" ...with a picture of her in a Native American headdress for the cover.
  24. We had two days to enjoy COCC. TWO. And now... She wants revenge. Hold me Daddy* I'm scared *I do not actually have a Daddy
  25. To me, it would've made more sense to hire a teenager with some resemblance to Lana to play 19-yr-old Lana on skates...having the double in that absurd wig with her face blurred out like we're supposed to pretend she's Lana was just... Also deeply baffled by the intermittent arm sling; either have it or don't, but it looks super lazy to have it part of the time. And masks part of the time. Mess. But then, I also have mixed feelings about the song--the baby voice sounds so strained that it makes me flinch, but I love the lyrics (except that weird awkward thing about the meninthemusicbusinessconference). If she sings it live with her normal range in concert I would legit love it.
