They're opening up the tunnel for a public album release party. That's why they delayed it to the 24th, so construction could be completed

This is going down as the greatest album ever made. So it's only fair that it has the greatest leak session ever too.

i can’t agree more, most of the writing on that album is out of this world and it makes me really look forward to analyzing the lyrics on Ocean Blvd. i feel like the writing on Blue Banisters is meant to be read more like poetry rather song lyrics, that’s the direction her writing seems to be going in, which makes me really sad about Behind The Iron Gates  it would’ve been so good. i’m not a fan of Wildflower Wildfire as a song at all but god, those words have so many layers, i know people interpret that song to just be dragging her mom but it’s so much more than that, imo it’s the most romantic thing she’s ever written

Every day I thank God that Lana just became more and more lyric-centric with her music, because  what a generous self-reflection she’s shared that has truly changed the way we move through the world.

Lana is transcending the main pop girl scene into a legendary status.
She was never really mainstream, but she could ride on the coattails of her debut album (that came out 11 years ago and it's still breaking records) if she wanted to. Yet she's still taking a risk because people are fucking stupid and misogynistic and they'll criticize women for anything. She's building an envy enducing legacy for her and for people who truly admire her.
Her right boob is more iconic than some people's entire existence. I love her even more for being so fearless and authentic.

Also, imagine getting worked up because of a breast. I hope some of y'all never come across the sex book.

This track is actually far more layered than I initially realized. There is the obvious distinction between herself and Sean in terms of where they may stand on certain sociopolitical and/or human rights issues – but I am realizing that there are nods to the karmic family lineage that she keeps referring to peppered throughout the song. I think there is a level of genealogical ill situated in a historical and racial context that underlies this song, too (think about the track’s declaration to “rewrite history”, nods to the Black Lives Matter movement, and references to "Ol' Man River").

It is brilliant how she manages to create a lyrical and thematic interplay between the end of a committed relationship, reparations of historical family karma, public infamy, and strained parental relations. This is one of her best – if not the best – written songs.

There was a period of time when Lana and Barrie would just... travel, everywhere. I think they would visit random studios writing/recording songs there with whoever was available. It's hard to pinpoint what was made by who beyond them 2. I think they would sometimes just leave the songs in the studio even. UFB was never planned to be included on UV, they just made it for fun, they were in love. Whoever was the working engineer in the NightBird studios the day they recorded it is probably the song's only co-producer.
