As usual, the biggest crybabies are the people upset that someone else is offended by something that isn't offensive to them.

The distortion effect follows some of Lana's favourite artists. I was trying to find a Nirvana song that really captures it, but couldn't quite, but here are two Cat Power songs that show the sort of approach to a piano ballad, and a simple electric guitar song.

I seriously don't know what the hell to think about this. And she's wearing a Texas Chainsaw Massacre shirt. Seriously. I haven't felt like this since I first heard Lolita.

The interpretation of everything rests on who the Eli Roth character is.

    Flop fan question.

I know Blake, Byron and Tom, but what is the name of Lana's bassist/keyboardist?

Ghetto Baby on Cheryl's A Million Lights is the only one I think. Break My Fall was supposed to be released by other artist but it was scrapped.

I'm not a fan of the cover - it has that awful men's magazine retouching vibe which is like the visual equivalent of badly used autotune. The other photos are great, though.

[Edit so as to not doublepost]: I just saw the Facebook post from Maxim, with possibly the dumbest hype-line I've read about Lana

Nobody gets to declare anyone else 'silenced' because of their gender/sexuality/... - that's one of the good things about the internet.

More specifically, if John Lennon were alive today, tumblr would be full of things he said in the sixties pointing out what a sexist pig he is, regardless of what he had came to believe later on.

In any case, my definition of myself as a feminist depends totally on what particular feminists think of me. If they think that I'm a feminist, then I'm happy to be a member. If they think I'm not, then I'm happy to be out of their club.

Whether you girl/dude it shouldn't matter.Your entitled to stand up for what you belive in regardless of your gender and sexuality. John Lennon was a huge advocate for woman's rights but I guess BC he wasn't a girl he should of mind his own business. Also I'm a huge advocate for LGBT and has supported there compaign for there rights for years but BC I'm not gay or Bi-sexual I should mind my own business aswell and not bother trying to make the world a more better place for generations to come
