L.D.R. should cover Wonderwall by Oasis again and put it on the mythical Pacific Blue album, which may or may not appear someday... -
Cute? Well, this is the kind of thing that usually isn't released until after an artist has been around for many decades; or posthumously...

I find it interesting and perceptive that Stevie Nicks believes Lana Del Rey would make a good film director. I wonder what kind of films L.D.R. would direct? Perhaps horror, or mystery and suspense...I think the first movie she should direct is an adaptation of Marisha Pessl's novel Night Film......

I think it would be awesome if L.D.R. re-released A.K.A. With a bunch of unreleased bonus tracks, and with a 30 page booklet containing information about when and where each song was recorded, and anecdotes about what each song is based on [autobiographical] or inspired by.

During a recent interview with the Washington Post, L.D.R. made a curious remark regarding her song Hope. Here is that portion of the article: "Some of her most intimate and enigmatic phrases swirl alongside one another during “Hope Is a Dangerous Thing,” including the lyric, “Serving up God in a burnt coffee pot for the triad.” Would she explain what the triad is? “I will not,” she says, smiling and shrugging. “I’m not going to tell everybody everything. . . . There’s so much to be treasured [in a song], just keep to yourself so that nobody can trash it.”" I too have been wondering about her use of the term "triad". Some Members in the above thread have suggested that it refers to the Holy Trinity. Jiggy says that it could refer to the Dark Triad of psychology. These interpretations are interesting and may have validity. When I first heard the lyric I thought it could refer to three individuals, perhaps close family and/or friends whom L.D.R. has had as guests in her home. Then I wondered if she could be referring to one of the infamous Triads which are said to be a loose conglomeration of Organized Crime syndicates. But, seeing as she is now involved with a lawman, this last hypothesis may be the most spurious of my conjectures. I can't help but be reminded of a certain scene in David Lynch's modern-noir film Mulholland Drive in which he hints at the influence of Organize Crime in the movie business...but that's neither here nor there...

Lana Del Rey & Elton John cover “Rolling Stone” - November 2019 [Print]

In my opinion, the following quote is the most interesting part of the interview: "It’s just that my family is still around and close. There’s only so much I could put on the table, coming from where I come from. I’m limited in what I could say in terms of being open. Maybe in 10 years." Where to begin. Perhaps the Ride music video. I believe this video, rather than being a fantastical portrayal of a "persona", actually gives us a glimpse of L.D.R.'s life before she achieved fame. I believe that it's very plausible that in her pursuit of freedom, L.D.R. did, for a time, live without a home, did sex work, did hard drugs, and associated with criminals. We can glean this from her songs and interviews through the years. This kind of activity would naturally bring some level of shame and embarrassment to a family of the wealthy class. Until Lana Del Rey confirms that the tales from her songs and art have a basis in reality, we -- her fans and her family -- can just tell ourselves that these tales are merely fantasies. But, I think it's possible that, at least for a time, L.D.R. did actually plunge into the world of the seedy heart of the Amerikan dream, without a safety net. But, of course, this is all just speculation. -
It seems like she's just giving a description of the characteristics of a Cancer.

Nation Anthem was never one of my favorite Paradise songs, I would usually skip it back when I was listening to the album regularly. I don't think the lyric about "wind in my hair...etc." is about "road head". At least, I never interpreted it that way. Lana Del Rey's song Religion is about her giving a blowjob; National Anthem, not so much. I think the article in question is somewhat convoluted. I hope and trust that L.D.R. is a person who loves freedom, and wishes that individuals remain free to do as they please as long as it doesn't harm anyone. Since she is from the wealthy class, sometimes I wonder if she may have...republican leanings, as far as keeping the super rich Firmly in power, perpetually. But I hope it's not so! Referring back to the article, in my Humble opinion, the time for escapism is over, and it's been over for some time now.

The following remarks are regarding the songs commonly referred to as the Unreleased tracks: I have sometimes wondered if L.D.R. purposefully leaked these tunes. Viva, Ellipsis, and others in the above thread have expressed plausible reasons why this would be beneficial to Lana Del Rey. Honestly, I have yet to listen to every single Unreleased track (there's over two hundred of them!). But I have listened to several of them, and there are some real Gems among them, and for this, I am grateful. Hopefully, sometime in the future, all or at least most of these songs will be officially released for our enjoyment.

I actually think it's plausible that Lana Del Rey occasionally browses Lanaboards; it would not surprise me. I'm developing a hypothesis, purely speculative, regarding L.D.R.'s role and hand in the origin and operation of the Lanaboards website, but now is not the appropriate time to discuss this matter.
