    I don't think you're a bad fan.
Is L.D.R. mysterious or is she basic? Maybe a little of both; she is after all, just a person. Was all, or at least some, of her glamour and cinematic allure just a contrivance from her Team? Possibly; she's in show business after all; she's a singer; a performer...

I think that L.D.R. provides personal imformation during interviews according to the vibe she gets from the interviewer, and when I listened to the interview that you included in your post, it didn't seem like L.D.R. was very enthusiastic about spilling her guts.

I must admit that Lana Del Rey does seem somewhat more Plain Jane-style since NFR, and NFR is my least favorite L.D.R. album; but when I listen to Hope Is a Dangerous Thing, at least to me, Lana sounds like the same gloomy girl she was when I first heard Summertime Sadness...

The Universe knows that Lana stans craving for this song since we heard the snippet... This year went downhill pretty fast but the Universe is doing it for us..for the Lana Stans...it's testing us how much we can carry on our backs..the cherry on the top was Lana deleting the first cover for her spoken word album and then the Universe realized that it was too much pain for us so Lana reposted it...The Universe will bless us for doing well in the game that some higher powers are playing with us... it already blessed us with LFL Demo, SQ, and some other memorable leaks...this year is dragging us down but if we stay strong and survive this dogshit of a year we will get blessed. LIB is somewhere waiting to get free & see us crying while we listen to it, Yosemite is coming and believe it or not even the Spoken Word Alboom  with the holy lemon tree on its cover is coming!!  Send your prayers to the Universe and it will bless us. Believe me or not. We should do some spellcraft while dancing  naked in the Yosemite National parc.. take off your clothes!!!     I'm not crazy...you are crazy!!

I've suspected for some time now that it was L.D.R.'s Mother, not her Father, who made the final decision to send L.D.R. away to boarding school...

There are so many serious and important questions regarding the mysterious origins of Lana Del Rey that remain unanswered, and may continue to remain unanswered until the definitive L.D.R. biography is written, which may not be for another ten to twenty years, or more.

You might be right about that, but I would rather uncover the truth and be disappointed, than remain in a state of myopia. That's just me. And besides, L.D.R.'s music and art is beautiful and valuable even without knowing the full back-story of all the songs, which we don't currently have. As time goes on and more research is done about Lana's early years; about her rise to fame; about her closest associates; and even about Lanaboards itself, it's going to be up to each one of us to decide if that information is going to make us Love Lana's art and music more, or if it will ruin things; and maybe, probably, it won't have too much of an effect.

I would say that I fall into the "want to know everything" category. I don't particularly want to meet L.D.R., but I am interested in her past life before she became a "pop star". I believe that one of the keys to understanding an artist's work is having knowledge about an artist's background and biography. I would also like to know more details about how Lana achieved fame. I think it's incorrect to presume that Lana is some kind of "product" manufactured by the music industry. I believe that's a reductionist view; but I do believe certain key elements of Lana's road to fame have not been fully explained. For example: when Lana Del Rey began to go viral, and after her performance on Saturday Night Live, she got a lot of "bad press" and harsh criticism. But this was actually helpful to Lana because it gave her more publicity. I suspect that all the negative press...may have been more than just good luck. But one thing to keep in mind: lack of accurate information leads to all sorts of theories and speculations, that's why it would be beneficial to have more comprehensive accurate information regarding the topic of Lana's origins, in my humble opinion.
