  1. I'm finding it hard to enjoy Lust for Life after we've been blessed with Honeymoon. The lyrics improved, but the sound and atmosphere are completly different from what I wished. I always loved Lana for writing about her imaginary world, her introspective side was what made me a real fan. These reality-aware songs on this new album don't give me the same feelings. In Honeymoon, Lana says "we both know that it's not fashionable to love me, but you don't go 'cause trully there's nobody for you but me". For me as a fan, this is really true, but when even Lana stops being there to feed your introspective personality to make something more society-relevant, what's left? Even if many songs in Lust for Life are still introspective, the fact that most of them are so upbeat makes them not to transmit to me that atmosphere I love so much about Lana and that was all over UV and Honeymoon.
  2. First time I don't like a Lana Del Rey album I wanted to, but I can't. This type of music is not really my style, I can't really enjoy this as an album. Love, Groupie Love and Get Free are the best ones, though, and I don't necessarily dislike the songs, but they are not that great. I will probably listen to it more times, I hope it grows in me. UV and Honeymoon were my favorite albums, I loved so much the path Lana was taking. I expected this album to be different, but most of these songs lack something to give me that Lana Del Rey feeling
  3. This album brought one of her best songs ever, which is Honeymoon. Such a masterpiece, beautiful, hauting, with a flexible slow paced rhythm and constant ups and downs in the flow of its emotions. The strings can put one's feelings screaming the whole melody, her voice is just perfect. The different live version are also great (she was singing better than ever in her mini-tour). Thank God it lasts almost 6 minutes, but it is so well produced that you don't even feel like the song is so big. The song gives you LA references, you can really imagine a story in your head. I just love it, it's really a great song. The album is very consistent, which might be what makes it boring for many, but I personally love this atmosphere, so I can't really get tired of it. For this era, I expected better videos. Lana should make more videos with legendary poetic monologues, I really wish she does it again some day. High by the Beach video was interesting, but the other two are not. They are very well recorded, but MTWBT video is kinda pointless. The Freak video isn't very glamourous, at least the first half. I enjoy the idea of transcendence (through death?) at the end of the song, and the Clair de Lune moment is wonderful, but the first half could be better I think. At least, those videos do not follow mainstream pop clichés, which makes them still unique.
  4. Somebody on youtube once thought it was "dreaming a whale life" instead of "dreaming away your life" in Honeymoon xD
  5. I never really hated any of her songs, but there were songs that just caught my attention later. The 1st song I knew of Lana was Million Dollar Man, in 2012, April or May, and I loved it so much that I had to know more about Lana... It's still my favorite song xD
  6. I believe TV in B&W is about K too, making reference to the time K was in prison...
