  1. this isn't an opinion, moreso a question- but why is terrence loves you called terrence loves you? who tf is terrence?
  2. and then she started it back up in 2020!
  3. people always talk about her early lyrics being too clingy and submissive, and talk about songs like video games, off to the races, ultraviolence, etc. why does no one talk about religion?? those lyrics are fucking disgusting (and i love it). literally worshipping a man like a god, and not-so-subtly comparing sucking dick to prayer/worship dont get me wrong its brilliant and top 5 on honeymoon, but i'm surprised that song wasn't more controversial. my guess is, by that point, the shock value kind of wore off and it was no longer trendy to be all on her dick regarding "persona" and "glamorizing abuse" and whatever tf else they used to pester her about.
  4. even tho i don't really like the flock of birds she hangs out with, its nice to see her actually...have friends? don't get me wrong, i didn't follow her in her earlier career, but i feel like she was never seen with any female friends? it was always barrie or chuck. she always seemed kind of isolated. she never just hung out with anyone.
  5. Lana suddenly hosting all these parties is so Great Gatsby. Fuck the pandemic, it’s all about aesthetic
  6. To be fair, all these emo bitches ARE her sons, but she sometimes comes off as bratty about it. But in her defense she DID embrace Billie, marina, etc with open arms. And idc what anyone says she 1000% paved the way for Ariana grande to get lip injections and cry on stage
  7. I def think lana is a hater towards the other pop/alt girls. I remember she did a pre-UV interview where she basically said she was the only female artist who actually puts in the work, and that she “just can’t associate” with the other girls in the music industry. and then she lowkey told on herself when she said her producer was scared to tell her he was working with kali uchis because she’s “similar” and he knew Lana could be “feisty.” And we all know she fucking hates/hated Halsey, lorde, lady Gaga, now Ariana, etc. She def has an attitude and looks down on some other females artists, and her IG rants confirm she thinks she paved the way for them (in her mind that prob means she thinks they copy her).
  8. never heard of any of these people anyways I want ty dolla $ign collab. Her and Billie working together would be too on the nose, and Melanie Martinez sucks so bad. But I feel like there won’t be any features
  9. well said the title "chemtrails over the country club" to me brings about images of glamorous people being completely oblivious to their impending doom. like, i just see rich white girls in hollywood facing death from above. and not even realizing it. which is extra interesting because vapid white girls chasing love and luxury was kind of her whole brand, especially at the beginning of her career. so it's almost like she's deconstructing the archetype she created for herself.
  10. if she starts making country music she’ll leave me no choice but to pretend I like lorde and Halsey
  11. She’s such an old lady now. I want a fun edgy single in like the next two weeks.
  12. unfortunately, i think lana's days of making summery drug/romance anthems are behind her. which is a shame cause those songs slapped. now she's all about "meditations" and "vibrations" and "questioning the culture" so god help us all
  13. I wonder if she will address the industry on this album, because based on her recent rants, she is holding onto a lot of anger and resentment about how they treated her in the past. Besides Money Power and Glory and Fucked My Way, she never really seems to address the industry/other artists in songs (except for the Kanye name drop in the Greatest). Unless it’s reference to a relationship like the jabs she took at G Eazy. There have been implications/ speculations made in interviews and online about things she’s seen in the industry (ex. Harvey Weinstein coming onto her) and she herself has confirmed she’s seen some fucked up shit behind the scenes. So talking about those experiences + her obvious dislike for a handful of other pop stars could be good for the album. Obviously dissing ariana grande isn’t gonna win her any popularity points, but referencing these types of things could hopefully bring some fire to the album that NFR was lacking. When Lana remixes Barbie Tingz and hits us with the “let’s be real, all you bitches wanna look like me” bars >>>>
  14. critics on NFR confused lyricism with content. they didn't like what she was writing about on her earlier records cause she wasn't some cookie-cutter "boss bitch" pop star the masses could easily digest. so they said the lyrics were bad. the lyrics were amazing, they just didn't approve of the story those lyrics were telling. on NFR they finally approved of what her message was, so they pretend the actual lyrics themselves were groundbreaking and poetic. when honestly, i think NFR was her most lyrically uninspired record. maybe abandoning the flowery-ness of her older songwriting was an intentional choice, but those songs were fucking beautiful lol.
  15. i just watched that Marilyn Manson "lana del rape" video in full for the first time... who approved this? why did lana agree to do this? i have sooo many questions lmaoooooo
  16. Hot take here. Interludes are a waste of space and I don’t care about album cohesiveness (I literally never listen to albums in order)
  17. I wish the twitter Lana stans would stop pretending Charlie is hot.
  18. Lana Del Rey is Tupac.
  19. i call one or two of my guy friends my little bro, so I really wouldn’t read into that too much. And as you said lana is also just fuckin weird so who knows with her lmaoooooo
