She has become increasingly cringey since 2019. Her behavior is absurd. She was so elegant and eloquent from 2002-2007--ever since her divorce she's been wacky. Saw her on Fallon and had to turn it off because of second-hand embarrassment. There's a line between pushing the envelope and making an ass of yourself.

@Leader of The Pack social media should not be a platform for any political figures imo. If you want to put something out, put out a press release. I have no problem with twitter banning any sitting politician from either the left or the right. HOWEVER, it is absolutely absurd to me that a former president and a sitting congresswoman have been banned but the leaders of Iran, China, etc. have not. I’m not saying there is any “conspiracy” here, other than the fact that twitter is picking and choosing who to ban without flaming international tensions. Ban them all for all I care. Bernie and AOC too. All they do is tweet and people share the tweet and everyone applauds. They haven’t gotten anything significant done other than bitch and whine.

So I got FaceBook for it's marketplace feature and the ad targeting is literally scary. I think we should shut this whole shit down in 2022. I have and need to use a VPN through work though on my laptop, and it helped a BIT. But still...very concerning on mobile. Might delete the app. I think everyone should be using a VPN tbh.

I want her to focus on the storytelling aspect of her songs more, she does it so well! I found it to be missing from Chemtrails a bit (except for songs like Wild At Heart, White Dress, and the title track), but came back roaring with Blue Banisters. Would love a folk-y country sound that really focuses on the lyrics and paints a really vivid picture with it's lyrics.

New song sounds like Witness and Smile. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just that she's never gonna have another big hit with this type of music again. I wish she'd just embrace that she's not going to be a main pop girl anymore (bc, tbh, "main pop girls" don't even exist anymore), and release an alt-rock/indie influenced album...

I think the moral of this thread is that y'all should be grateful someone as sweet as @Elle owns this site, and not a cash-grabbing tyrant like @Mer. It could be a lot worse.

I remember Christmas 2012…I was like 11 and obsessed with that album. I forced my parents to let me bring my iPod touch on our ski trip so I could listen to BTD on the slopes, and then I shattered the screen. It was truly BTD. I always relate the album to that holiday season.
